Responsibility
Services are being provided under the application of the Estonian Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association’s general
conditions, Estonian Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association’s Carriage of Goods by Road general conditions,
Estonian Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association’s General Terms and Conditions for Warehousekeepers,
Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR), AS Schenker’s interpretation of the
International Chamber of Commerce version of Incoterms/Combiterms 2000 (Incoterms®2010 can also be applied) and
other statutory acts.
Cargo insurance
AS Schenker’s responsibility is restricted according to the CRM Convention by 8,33 SDR freight’s or part of its gross
weight per kilogram. To minimise the client’s risk, AS Schenker will mediate the binding of cargo insurance contract with
AS Schenker’s chosen insurer. The wish to sign the cargo insurance contract needs to be in a written notification to the
representative whilst placing an order of transportation service.

Storage in the terminal is taken into account either from arrival or from departure of goods from the 4th day. If goods are
not removed from storage during the first 3 days, then the storage fee will be taken into account from the day of the arrival
of goods. The latter is being applied despite the terms of the delivery (EXW – DDP)
The price will be calculated according to the weight of the consignment and for larger consignments according to an
estimated total weight depending on the size of the space being utilised in the cargo space: 1 m³ (cbm) = 333 kg; 1 ldm
(loading meter of the cargo space) = 1850 kg; 1 EUR-pallet space = 0,4 ldm; 1 FIN-pallet space = 0,5 ldm.
Long goods: goods that are longer than 2,4 m and weigh over 35 kg = min 400 kg per meter = 1,2m³.
In case of prices being calculated per consignment (excl. part load), then the weight of the consignment will be rounded
and the shipment cost being calculated, always upwards with 1kg precision.
Part load is a consignment that has an estimated weight of 2500 kg or more and where other consignments would still fit
in the same vehicle.
