Credit card payment FAQ 1. Which credit cards are accepted? Students and authorized payers can make payments online with Visa, MasterCard, DISCOVER, or American Express. 2. Can I pay with a debit card? Yes, but you will still pay the non-refundable service fee of 2.75 percent of the payment amount at the time of each debit card payment. You can avoid the service fee by using e-check instead. Select the online e-check payment option and enter your bank routing and account number. 3. Why do I have to pay a 2.75 percent service fee to pay with a credit card and how is it determined? The 2.75 percent rate is established by our vendor NelNet to cover the credit card transaction fees assessed by credit card companies. It is based on the payment amount for each transaction. CU does not receive any part of the service fee. 4. Is there any way I can avoid paying a service fee? You can avoid paying the 2.75 percent service fee by paying online with e-check using your checking or savings account. Payments can also be mailed or delivered in person at your campus Bursar’s Office. Main Campus Payment Methods Continuing Education & Professional Studies Payment Options 5.
