Portfolio = a collection of evidence on expertise Expertise Skills=ability to do something Knowledge = person’s understanding, information Attitudes = mental outlook MY LEARNING PORTFOLIO Round 1: LinkedIn  Not really suitable platform for portfolio  Better for documenting your current level of skills  On the other hand, now I have a LinkedIn account! MY LEARNING PORTFOLIO Round 2: Blog  Easy to use  Natural for incremental documentation  Not visually pleasing  Easily has an unprofessional vibe MY LEARNING PORTFOLIO MY LEARNING PORTFOLIO Round 3: The PDF..  Where to store it, how to distribute it?  How to make sure it is kept up to date?  Visual skills required to create interesting layout  I never got past these thoughts to even create the document  BUT many of my friends rock an awesome PDF portfolio MY LEARNING PORTFOLIO Final Round: Personal website  Easy to make visually pleasing websites nowadays  Convenient to include link in CV, business card…  Availability for anyone motivates keeping the site updated  So does the fact it is not free to get your own domain... tässä link MY LEARNING PORTFOLIO What did I gain:  Experience in creating a website; good project on its own  Skills on conceus reflection: - What did I do? - Why did I do it? - How did it go? - What I would change? - What did I learn? - How can I use these learnings? Team discussion Discuss in teams (2-3) for 10 min about your important learning experiences e.g. jobs, projects, activities Write these on the sticky notes (1 project / note) Task 2. Independent work Summarize your learnings on a paper (list, mind map…) Place the notes (from the previous excercise) as evidence for the skills Task 3. Whole group Choose one expertise and its evidence (activity, from which your have it gained and which proves that you have the expertise) Preset the learning from the activity to the whole group
