Step 5: Customising content Adding
content to a CV
Selecting the Edit function creates a pop out menu
which allows for changes including restricting the
type of research output that are included.
For example you can select peer reviewed journal
articles in the last 3 years present. You can also
individually select different options or choose all
the options by clicking add all.
After you have selected the appropriate research
outputs, press okay at the bottom right hand side
of the pop put.

Step 6: Customising content Adding content to a CV
The Add section button at the bottom left hand corner of
the page, allows you to add a section to the CV. This can
be used even if the section already exists and allows you
to edit the sections in different ways.
This function is important if you would like to order
research outputs on your CV e.g. set the first Research
output section to show journal articles, the next Research
output section to show book chapters and the final
Research output section to show conference
proceedings.

Step 7: Choosing to make a section dynamic or static
By default CVs in Pure are dynamic, this means that when new content is
added, either by you or when a grant is awarded or when you confirm that a
research output suggested by the search engine belongs to you, it will
automatically be added to the CV.
In some cases you may want this feature turned off for a particular subset of
content. To do so select the Make Static button under the Dynamic / static
list subheading and select the Ok button on the bottom right corner of the
pop out screen.

Step 8: Saving and Exporting a CV
The CV can be saved using the Save button on the bottom left corner of the
pop out screen, this is particularly important for dynamic CVs and Public CVs.
CVs can also be exported either as a pdf or a word file using the icons on the
bottom right corner of the screen. Word format in particular is useful if you
would like to continue editing the CV.
In order to finish your session select the Log out button in the top right hand
corner of the main Pure screen.
