Although at the beginning of the year my site was the pool table in Whitley, I feel
that the pool table in The Game room would have been more interesting. People go
to the game room in the Sam Rayburn Student Center because they are more
expected to meet new people at the game than at the pool table in Whitley.
Another reason for this is the surroundings.
Sight, Taste,
Feel, Hear
• When you walk into the game
room, you hear balls being hit
in holes, and music from the
club playing. The game room is
not for tasting there is nothing
really to taste in the game
room unless you enjoy licking
the pool balls, sticks or the
tables. But I doubt they taste
good. Stick to the surrounding
food courts.
These surroundings
include the Café the
Lion Grill and the Club.
Yummy for
my Tummy?
Food and pool go hand and
hand. Pool is usually a game
people play before they go
eat, after they have worked
up an appetite. It is also a
place to go to make more
friends who also have an
interest in the game pool.
Literacy
The Literacy in pool is
not very obvious
being that it is a game.
But I guess if there is it
would be probably be
the instructions of the
game or just the
understanding of it.
• For example
• Me, explaining pool would be just
hitting balls in holes.
• Others that are literate in it would
explain that there are certain balls
that hitting it good and some you
should avoid. Like don’t hit the 8
ball in before any other balls. Hit it
in last.
