General Price List
These prices are effective January 1, 2013, but thereafter subject to change without notice.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire.
However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other
requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the
statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
1) Minimum Services of Funeral Director and Staff..............................................................................$2,195.00 *
A. Professional counseling, service conferences, and service coordination.
B. Availability of licensed funeral staff to respond to request for service on a twenty-four hour a day basis.
C. Preparation, filing, and securing necessary legal documentation.
D. Assistance with governmental and insurance claims.
E. Preparation of the obituary notices and delivery to the news media.
F. Coordination of service plans with the cemetery, crematory, and/or other parties regarding the final disposition.
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is
already included in our charges for direct cremation, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)
2) Embalming .....................................................................................................................................$840.00 *
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select
certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to
choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

This fee is for a Full Traditional Service and is the total of all the preceding services, indicated with an asterisk (*). It is shown

Our charge for immediate burial without any attendant rites or ceremonies include the removal of the remains, local transportation
to the cemetery, necessary services of staff, and authorizations.

Our charge for a direct cremation without any attendant rites or ceremonies includes the removal of the remains, local transportation
to the crematory, necessary services of staff, and authorizations. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative
container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composite materials (with or
without an outside covering.) The container we provide is the Batesville Cremation tray.
