Introduction
TheLDSMediaLibraryapplicationisdesignedtohelpyouorganizepresentationsusingvarioustypesof
mediatoshareduringSundaylessonsorfamilyhomeevening.Thisguidewillhelpyouunderstandhow
tousetheappandwhatitscapabilitiesare.
GettingAround
MainMenu
Themainmenuislocatedatthebottomofthescreen.
Featuredincludesnewandfeaturedmedia(video,music,andimages)fromtheLDSMediaLibrary.
Browseincludespopularcollectionsandasearchabledatabaseofallvideo,music,andimagesinthe
LDSMediaLibrary.
Playlistsshowsallyoursavedplaylistsyouhavemadeusingtheapp.
MyLibraryholdsallthemediafilesyouhavedownloadedandhasaplaceforthemediayouhave
markedasfavorites.
Settingsiswhereyoucanchangeapplicationsettings,includinglanguageselectionanddatadownload
permissions.YoucanalsosignintoyourLDSAccountfromhereandsendfeedback.

CreatingaPlaylist
ThePlaylistsscreenshowsalltheplaylistsyouhavemadeusingtheapp.Youcanchooseindividual
playliststoshareordeleteaswellascreatenewplaylists.Whenmediaisaddedtoyourplaylist,itis
downloadedtoyourdeviceandisavailabletopresentinofflinesituations.
CreateanewplaylistbychoosingtheFAB(+)iconatthetoprightofthescreen.
TypethetitleofyourplaylistinthewindowthatpopsupandtapSave.
Ifyouneedtorenameyourplaylist,taptheplaylisttoopenit.TaptheEditiconfromthePlaylistsscreen,
editthetitleoftheplaylist,andhideyourkeyboardtosavethechange.
Optionally,whenbrowsingorsearchingformediathroughtheBrowseorMyLibraryscreens,youcan
taptheAddNewPlaylisticonwithinanymediafile.Inthewindowthatpopsup,taptheFAB(+)icon,
enterthetitle,andtapSave.
SearchingforMedia
TheFeaturedandBrowsesectionscontainsearchablevideos,music,andimages.
Tosearchformedia,taptheSearchiconatthetoprightofthescreen.
EnterawordorphraseinthesearchboxandtapSearchonyourkeyboard.
Toquicklyaddseveralitemstoyourplaylistatthesametime,taptheSelecticonfoundnexttothe
searchbox.SelecttheitemsyouwantaddedbytappingthemandtapAddtoPlaylist.Taptheplaylist
youwantthefilesaddedtoandamessagewillpopupnotifyingyouthatthefileshavebeenadded.
ApplyingSearchFilters
YoucanapplyfilterstoyoursearchintheBrowsesectionoftheapp.
Aftersearchingforawordorphrase,filteryoursearchbytappingFilteratthetopleftofthescreen.
Tapeachcategorytoselectwhichfiltersyouwouldliketoapply.Optionsinclude:

optionsbytappingRemovenexttothefiltereditem.

BackingUpPlaylists
Allyourplaylists,favorites,andmediacanbebackedupandaccessedthroughotherdevicesincaseof
breakage,loss,ortheft.Tobackupyourplaylistsandmedia:
IfyouhaveanLDSAccount:
1. TapSignInonthemainmenu,accessedbytappingthemenuiconinthetopleftcornerofthe
screen.Youmusthaveinternetaccess.
2. TapSignIn.
3. EnteryourLDSAccountusernameandpassword.
4. TapSignInandyourdatawillautomaticallysync.
IfyoudonothaveanLDSAccount:
1. Gotoldsaccount.lds.orgonyourdevice’swebbrowser.Youmusthaveinternetaccess.
2. Followtheregistrationsteps.
3. Oncecompleted,followtheinstructionsabovetosigninusingyourLDSAccount.
AddingMediatoaPlaylist
Topreviewvideoandmusicfilesandaddthemtoaplaylist,yourdevicemusthaveaninternet
connection.Onceyouaddmediatoaplaylist,itisdownloadedtoyourdevicesothatitcanbe
presentedoffline.Whenyoufindavideo,image,oraudiofileyouwanttoaddtoaplaylist,youcanadd
ittotheplaylisttwodifferentways.
FromFeatured,MyLibrary,orBrowseMenus
AnymediaitemcanbeaddedtoplaylistsbytappingtheAddtoPlaylisticonwhenwithinthemediafile.
Selectwhichplaylistyouwouldlikethemediafileaddedtoormakeanewplaylist.Youwillseea
messagepopupnotifyingyouthatthefilehasbeenaddedtotheplaylistyouchose.
FromthePlaylist
Taptheplaylistyouwanttoaddmediato.
Toaddmedia,taptheFAB(+)iconatthetoprightofthescreen.
SearchformediabytappingtheSearchiconatthetopright.
Onceyouhaveafileyouwanttoadd,taptheAddtoPlaylisticonwhenwithinthemediafile.Amessage
willpopupnotifyingyouthatthefilehasbeenaddedtoyourplaylist.
Whenyouhavefinishedaddingmediafilestoyourplaylist,tapDoneatthetoprightofthescreento
returntoyourplaylist.
AddingFavorites
Whenviewingavideoorimageorlisteningtoanaudiofile,taptheFavoritesiconsotheheartisfilledin
toaddthefiletotheFavoritessectionofMyLibrary.
DeletingFavorites
Whenviewingavideoorimageorlisteningtoanaudiofile,taptheFavoritesiconsotheheartisno
longerfilledin.
TrimmingVideosandSongs
Whileeditingaplaylist,youmayfindthatyouwanttoplayonlyaportionofavideoorsong.Toplay
onlythedesiredportion,dothefollowing:
Tapthevideoorsongyouwanttoeditsoitfillstherightsideofthescreen.
TapTrimVideo.
Abarwithblueedgeswillappearbelowthevideoorsong.
Pressanddragthefrontorbackblueedgesofthestriptodecidehowmuchofthevideoorsongtoplay.
PressPlaytocheckthatyouhavetheselectionyouwant.
ReorderingandDeletingSlides
TapEdittoreorderordeleteslidesinyourplaylist.
Toreorderslides,pressandholdtherightsideofthefileyouwanttomove.Dragittowhereyouwantit
tobeandreleaseit.
Todeleteaslide,taptheRemoveicon,tapDelete,thentapDone.
CreatingNotes
Youcanaddnotestoindividualmediafileswithinapresentationthatyoucanseewhenyouarein
presentermode.Toaddnotes,dothefollowing:
Tapthemediafileyouwanttoaddnotestosoitfillstherightsideofthescreen.
SelectNotes,thenAddNote.
TypeyournotesintotheMediaNoteswindow,thentapSave.
Yournoteswillappearwhenyouareinpresentermodeandconnectedtoasecondscreen.
EnteringandUsingPresenterMode
Presentermodeallowsyoutoseeyournotesforeachslide,seethenextslide,andmanuallymove
throughorjumptotheslidesinyourplaylistonasecondaryscreen.Toenterpresentermode,youneed
tobeconnectedtoasecondscreen,eitherbyAirPlayorthroughawiredconnection.
PresentingviaAirPlay
ToshowyourpresentationusingAirPlay,slideyourfingerfromthebottomofthescreentowardthetop
ofthescreen.Amenuwillappear.SelectAirPlayandchoosethedeviceyouwanttoconnectto.
Onceconnected,yourscreenwillbemirroredonthescreen.Toenterpresentationmode,tapthe
AirPlayiconinthetopright.Youwillenterpresentermodeandyourfirstslidewillappearonthescreen.
Asyoumovethroughyourplaylist,youcantapListenorWatchtoplaythosepartsofyourpresentation.
PresentingthroughaWiredConnection
AfterconnectingyourdevicetothesecondscreenbyusingacompositecordorHDMIcable,theAirPlay
iconwillappearatthetopofyourplaylistscreen.TaptheAirPlayiconandyouwillenterpresenter
modeandyourfirstslidewillappearonthescreen.
Asyoumovethroughyourplaylist,youcantapListenorWatchtoplaythosepartsofyourpresentation.
Sharing
Playlistsandindividualmediaitemscanbesharedonsocialmedia,throughemailortext,orwithother
applicationssuchasGoogleDrive.
Playlists
Toshareaplaylist,opentheplaylistandselectShare.Awindowwillpopupwithvariousoptionsfor
sharingyourplaylist.
IndividualMedia
Toshareamediafile,openthefileandselectShare.Awindowwillpopupwithvariousoptionsfor
sharingyourmediafile.
ManagingDownloads
ReachdownloadedmediabytappingonMyLibrary.Mediaissplitupbytype.
SortingMedia
SortmediabytappingSortonthemenubaratthetopleftofthescreen.Sortoptionsincludesortingby
dateadded,alphabetization,andfilesize.
SharingMedia
SharemediabytappingtheSelecticononthemenubaratthetopofthescreen.
TaponmediafilesyouwanttoshareandpresstheShareicononthemenubar.Awindowwillpopup
withvariousoptionsforsharingyourplaylistonsocialmedia,throughemailortext,orwithother
applicationssuchasGoogleDrive.
AddingtoPlaylists
AddmediatoaplaylistfromMyLibrarybytappingtheSelecticononthemenubaratthetopofthe
screen.
TaponmediafilesyouwanttoaddandpresstheAddtoPlaylisticononthemenubar.
Choosetheplaylistyouwouldliketoaddthemediafilestoorcreateanewone.
DeletingMediafromMyLibrary
DeletingmediafromMyLibrarywilldeletethemediaitemsfromyourdeviceandremovethemfrom
anyplaylistsusingthem.
DeletemediafromMyLibrarybytappingtheSelecticononthemenubaratthetopofthescreen.
Taponmediafilesyouwanttodelete,presstheTrashicononthemenubar,andchooseDelete.
DeletingPlaylists
DeletinganentireplaylistwillalsodeleteallmediaincludedinthatplaylistfromMyLibraryunlessit’s
includedinanotherplaylist.
Topermanentlydeleteaplaylist,tapEditfromthePlaylistssection.
Taptheplaylistyouwanttodeletesoabluecheckappears.
TapDeleteonthetoprightofthemenubar.
