Laurie, with her beautiful soprano voice, played many roles while she was here in Wolfeboro
with the Village Players. Her first performance with us was as Laurey in Oklahoma!.She
followed that up with the role of the lovely Daisy Mae in Li’l Abner, and slick, smart Reno
Sweeney in Anything Goes. She also took a non-singing role as Miss Fancy in Sly Fox, but
we remember her best for her musical comedy.
Laurie also served on the Village Players Board, and as President of the organization.
She moved away from Wolfeboro many years ago, but she came back to see a few of our
shows, and many of us remember her and were saddened to hear of her passing.
