School Website : www.templenewsamschool.co.uk What a fantastic week! Glorious sunshine and field play. Please check your child's book bag for the Governor's report from the parent survey done in February and March. We had quite a low return which I am sure reflects the parent survey that was carried by OFSTED in March, unfortunately the results from their survey are not shared with school. The report outlines the steps that school is taking to address concerns, but as always please do not hesitate to contact me if there are issues that you feel continue to need resolving. Our School Council will also soon be carrying out surveys with their classes. Our Governing Body meeting set the new financial year school budget this week as well as considering the results of their staff and parent surveys. Mrs Pritchard, one of our long time serving and brilliant teaching assistants has decided to leave at the end of June, I am however delighted to be able to tell our Year Two parents that she will continue to volunteer with us so it is not goodbye. I would like to thank Mrs Pritchard for all of her hard work, love and care of our children both as a teaching assistant and formerly as our lunchtime supervisor. In regards to the training day arranged for Monday 26th June, unfortunately we are still waiting to hear if we can rearrange the scheduled training. As soon as we have confirmation we will let you know by text or letter. Have a great weekend - hoping to get the BBQ out at the Patel house. Summer Fayre’s NON UNIFORM DAY - Friday 19th May The Summer Fayre is fast approaching and we are again organising a Non Uniform Day to help prepare for the event! All we ask for not wearing uniform for a day is a contribution that can be used as a Tombola prize at the Summer Fayre. We are NOT asking for money but ask that children in Nursery - Year 4 bring a prize for the Chocolate Tombola and Year 5– Year 6 bring anything for the Tombola Stall, it would really help make our fayre a success! We hope you will support us with this idea and we look forward to seeing you at the Summer Fayre.
