Coaches Shel DeLisle (Coach D)- [email protected] 262.617.7307 (does text) Coach D played Outside Hitter one year on JV before playing 3 years as OH at varsity level in high school. She finished her st senior year as team captain & 1 team all-conference. She went on to play at Marquette University as a Defensive Specialist her freshman year while working on setting with a men’s AA volleyball team in the off season. She played her junior & senior year as Setter/Hitter for Marquette before graduating with a B.A. in Interpersonal Communications & International Affairs. She has coached at middle school, club, & high school varsity level over the past 20 years and is known for strong technique & player development. She is Impact certified, SafeSport certified, & has completed the CAP I training. She is scheduled to take Beach Impact & Beach CAP I this summer. Her philosophy for coaching volleyball is to develop players for life while teaching them Respect for self & others, Ownership of speech & action, Accountability for speech & action, & Responsibility both on & off the court (ROAR). Assistant Coaches: Lora Ekum is regularly part of the Kettle Moraine School District staff and a strong supporter of all things Lasers. She played nd 3 years on varsity in High School as a defensive specialist & setter finishing 2 in state her junior year and taking the state championship with her team senior year. She has continued to play competitively since, staying current on volleyball nd trends and supporting area teams. Her son is a member of the 2 in state 2015 boys’ volleyball team at KM and her enthusiasm for the game is contagious. Colleen DeLisle will be joining the coaching staff on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays as a junior assistant coach. She is a sophomore at KM & was a regular starter for the girls’ varsity team. She has played Setter/Opposite & OH at the high school level & S/Opp, OH, & Middle at the club level. She made the JVA watchlist as a 15s player, was selected to the Badger Region High Performance training team this past summer, is playing with the Under Armour/Volleyball Factory team at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs this Christmas Break, & currently plays club ball for Milwaukee Sting 17s. Our goal is to train players to love the game, play competitively, and to be prepared for the game at the JV & Varsity level in high school. To this end, KM varsity coaches & additional players will be joining us for tryouts & occasional practices to encourage all players & provide continuity for the program. Schedule: 2015 JUNIOR PARKLAND CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE CONFERENCE RULES 1. Any girl who plays in the first game may not play in the second game. If a team has less than 12 players, the rule is waived. 2. Rally scoring with a libero. The libero is permitted to serve in one player spot only. 3. Opposing coaches will meet prior to the start of the match to clarify/review the rules of the game. 4. Home team supplies the warm up balls. Visiting team will have a minimum 10 minute warm-up or an agreed upon time. 5. The suggested first day of practice is MONDAY, JANUARY 18th 6. Positional breakouts will occur regularly in practice, along with jump development, in system & out of system play, defensive/offensive strategies, & other skills that will strengthen players in preparation for high school and support current club play.
