UOB YOLO Credit Card Staycation Campaign Terms and Conditions Campaign Period 1. United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (271809-K) (“UOBM”) is running “UOB YOLO Credit Card Staycation Campaign” (“Campaign”) from 1 April 2017 until 30 June 2017 (both dates inclusive), unless notified otherwise (“Campaign Period”). Campaign Eligibility 2. This Campaign is open to all eligible principal and supplementary UOB YOLO Credit Cardholders (”Cardmembers”) excluding the following:a. Cardmembers whose account(s) are terminated, suspended or cancelled within the Campaign Period; b. All other UOBM Credit and Debit Cardmembers who do not hold a UOB YOLO Card; c. Any accounts held with UOBM that are delinquent or unsatisfactory conducted as determined by UOBM at its absolute discretion; d. Persons who are or become insane, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or have legal proceedings of any nature instituted against them. 3. This Campaign is only applicable to Cardmembers whose UOB YOLO Credit Card was issued in Malaysia (“Card”). Campaign Mechanics 4. Cardmembers who use the Card in a Participating Month (as defined in Clause 7 below) for any of the following qualifying criteria (“Eligible Spend”) shall be entitled to the following number of qualifying entries in the Campaign (“Qualifying Entries”):No. 1 Qualifying Criteria Local ‘Card Present’ Retail Transaction Number of qualifying entry(ies) Local ‘Card Present’ retail transaction means any purchase of goods and services made in Ringgit Malaysia with the Card present at any physical outlets in Malaysia One (1) entry for each multiple of RM50 for every UOB YOLO Card Eligible Spend in a single receipt/transaction. Overseas ‘Card Present’ Retail Transaction 2 Overseas ‘Card Present’ retail transaction means any purchase of goods and services made in foreign currency with the Card present at any physical outlets outside Malaysia Five (5) entries for each multiple of RM50 equivalent for every UOB YOLO Card Eligible Spend in a single receipt/transaction. New YOLO Card Application 3 *A “new-to-YOLO Card” applicant who successfully applies for a principal UOB YOLO Card during the Campaign Period. “New-to-YOLO Card” applicant means any person who does not hold an existing UOB YOLO Card for the past 6 months from the application date. Five (5) entries upon approval of the application for the principal card. *If a principal UOB YOLO Card applicant signs up for a supplementary card, the supplementary card will receive five (5) entries upon approval of the application as well. Eight (8) entries for each multiple of RM50 equivalent for every UOB YOLO Card Eligible Spend in a single receipt/transaction. PayWave Transaction (Local and Overseas) 4 Transactions made via payWave at any outlets in Malaysia or overseas. E.g. 1) If a cardholder makes a payWave transaction worth RM50 in Malaysia, cardholder will be rewarded with eight (8) entries; 2) If cardholder makes a payWave transaction worth RM50 equivalent in other currency, cardholder will be rewarded with eight (8) entries. Balance Transfer Application 5 Successfully apply for transfer of balances under the UOBM Balance Transfer Programme to a UOB YOLO Card Account Flexi-Credit Plan Application 6 7 8 Successfully apply for cash withdrawal from the UOB YOLO Card under the UOBM Flexi-Credit Plan (“FCP”) Programme Easi-Payment Plan Application Successfully apply for UOBM EasiPayment Plan (EPP) for purchases made using a UOB YOLO Card Instalment Payment Plan Application Successfully apply for UOBM Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) for purchases made using a UOB YOLO Card Five (5) entries for each multiple of RM50 of the approved Balance Transfer Amount in a single application, subject to a minimum approved Balance Transfer Amount of RM1,000. Five (5) entries for each multiple of RM50 of the approved FCP Amount in a single application, subject to a minimum approved FCP Amount of RM1,000. Five (5) entries for each multiple of RM50 of the approved conversion amount under EPP in a single application, subject to a minimum approved conversion amount of RM500. Five (5) entries for each multiple of RM50 of the approved conversion amount under IPP in a single application, subject to a minimum approved conversion amount of RM500. 5. In the event that the Eligible Spend is in a currency other than Ringgit Malaysia (“RM”), such spend shall, for the purpose of calculation of the number of entries for this Campaign, be after conversion to RM at a rate to be determined by UOBM and shall be based on UOBM’s transaction records within the Campaign Period. 6. For the avoidance of doubt, the following is NOT Eligible Spend: a. ‘Card Not Present’ retail transactions (e.g. online purchases, phone orders, etc.); b. Cash Advance; c. Recurring payments, auto-bill payments d. Refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions; e. Payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees, charges for cash withdrawals, goods and services tax and any other form of service / miscellaneous fees using the Card; and f. Such other transactions as UOBM may determine from time to time. 7. Participating Month means the month of April, May and June in the year 2017. 8. There is no limit imposed on the number of Qualifying Entries that can be earned by a Cardmember. 9. The Qualifying Entries earned by the principal Cardmember and supplementary Cardmember will not be combined. Prize 10. In each Participating Month, only three (3) Cardmembers with Eligible Spend are entitled to win the monthly prize (“Monthly Winners”). Throughout the Campaign Period, a total of nine (9) Cardmembers with Eligible Spend will be entitled to win the monthly prize. The shortlisted Cardmembers for the monthly prize will be chosen randomly based on the Cardmembers’ number of Qualifying Entries. 12. The Qualifying Entries earned for a certain Participating Month cannot be carried forward to another Participating Month. By the end of each Participating Month, the Cardmember’s Qualifying Entries will be reset to zero. For example, Cardmember A has 5 Qualifying Entries in April. In the beginning of May, Cardmember A’s Qualifying Entries will be reset to 0 entry. 13. The shortlisted Cardmembers for the Campaign shall be contacted via telephone by UOBM’s representatives in the third week of the following month after the month in which they have won using the latest contact numbers furnished to UOBM as shown in UOBM’s records on a business day during office hours (i.e. Monday to Friday from 9.00 am – 6.00 pm) to answer one (1) question relating to the Campaign before being declared as Monthly Winners. For the avoidance of doubt, such shortlisted Cardmembers must answer the question correctly in order for him/her to be declared as a Monthly Winner. 14. In the event:a. Upon being contacted by UOBM’s representatives, the shortlisted Cardmember is unable to answer the question correctly; or b. UOBM’s representatives are unable to contact the shortlisted Cardmember after three (3) attempts on the same day; or c. the shortlisted Cardmember wishes to withdraw from this Campaign upon being contacted by UOBM’s representative, the shortlisted Cardmember will be deemed to have withdrawn/been disqualified from this Campaign and UOBM shall be entitled to shortlist another Cardmember to win the monthly prize. 15. A Cardmember can only win the monthly prize once throughout the entire Campaign Period. 16. The Monthly Winners will receive vouchers for the monthly prize in the third week of the following month after the month in which they have won. For example, April winner will receive the prize in the third week of May 2017. 17. The monthly prizes are not exchangeable for other goods or cash, whether in part or in full. 18. Any props, accessories or equipment featured in all printed materials, website or UOB branches are for decorative purposes only and shall not form part of the monthly prizes. 19. The general terms and conditions of the monthly prizes are as follows: a. All vouchers are valid for a period of twenty four (24) months from the issue date; b. Any amount not used will not be refunded by the Bank. Any further appeal or requests will have to be made to The Shorea’s management team. c. Any amount due in excess of the voucher will have to be charged to the Monthly Winners accordingly; d. Prior to utilizing the voucher, the Monthly Winners are required to make a booking in advance and also state their intention to use the voucher as a method of payment to ensure validity of the voucher; e. Reservations will be subject to availability of the room; f. The voucher is only valid for use in a single receipt; g. No cash refund will be made, in part or full against the vouchers; h. Unredeemed vouchers which have expired cannot be refunded or extended. 20. In addition to the general terms and conditions as stated in Clause 17 above, the Monthly Winners agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as set out in the vouchers issued by The Shorea. General Terms and Conditions 21. The Cardmembers agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, the terms and condition in the UOBM Visa/Mastercard Cardmember Agreement and UOB YOLO Card Terms and Conditions (“Generic T&C”). If there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and the Generic T&C in connection with this Campaign, these terms and conditions will prevail. 22. The decisions of UOBM in all matters relating to this Campaign and in the case of dispute, will be final and binding on the Cardmembers. 23. The Cardmembers agree that UOBM has the right to vary these terms and conditions, from time to time, wholly or in part, by providing prior notice through UOBM’s website, branches, the Statement of Account or in any manner as may be determined by UOBM at its absolute discretion. 24. UOBM shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liabilities of any nature and however arising or suffered by the Cardmembers resulting directly or indirectly from this Campaign unless it arises from UOBM’s negligence or willful misconduct specifically related to this Campaign. 25. UOBM shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in transmission of sales transactions by Visa International Incorporated, merchant establishments, postal or telecommunication authorities or any party in which may result in the Cardmembers failing to be entitled to the monthly prizes under this Campaign. 26. The record of transactions maintained by UOBM and UOBM’s decision on all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final, conclusive and binding on the Cardmembers. UOBM shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter into any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning this Campaign. No appeal and/or correspondence from any Cardmember or any third party will be entertained. 27. UOBM shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liability of any nature and however arising or suffered by the Cardmembers and/or any third party resulting directly or indirectly from the Cardmembers’ participation in this Campaign. 28. UOBM is not affiliated with The Shorea and/or its participating outlets and makes no representation or warranty with respect to the quality of this Campaign and/or the services or its suitability for any purpose. 29. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Cardmembers agree the courts of Malaysia shall have jurisdiction over all matters pertaining to this Campaign.
