DAY 1 – (Our trip to the Holy Land)
We depart LAX with a stopover in
Newark. We travel overnight and
arrive in Tel Aviv, Israel. Our guide
will meet us upon arrival.
walk to view the Abrahamic Gate. In our travels
we will be able to view the borders of Lebanon,
Syria and Jordan. On this evening we will enjoy
a special festive dinner at our favorite private,
restaurant, located on the Galilee.
DAY 2 – (An evening on the Mediterranean)
After clearing customs, we board an airconditioned tour bus to our hotel on the
Mediterranean shoreline. After check-in, we have
our first dinner together and retire for a good
night’s sleep.
DAY6– (On to Jerusalem)
Today we go to the southern region of Israel.
We visit the city of Beit Shean, one of the
earliest and most important cities in Israel from
the time of the Canaanites. This is a live dig,
where you will see both Old Testament and New
Testament sites. We continue through the
Jordan Valley, passing the ancient city of
Jericho, the first city conquered in the Promised
Land. We continue to Masada, a spectacular
desert fortress. After a cable car ride up the
rocky cliffs of Masada, we will explore Herod’s
palaces and learn the powerful story of “never
again”. Masada overlooks the Dead Sea, where
we will visit and those who like will be able to
experience of floating in the Sea and its healing
minerals. This is the lowest place on earth! On
the way to Jerusalem we visit the Qumran
Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
Tonight we will enter the Holy City of Jerusalem.
After checking into our beautiful hotel for the
next four nights, we will enjoy dinner together.
DAY 3 (Our introduction to Galilee Region)
After a big breakfast buffet, we begin our day at
Caesarea By The Sea, where both Paul and Peter
visited. Its ruins include a magnificent
amphitheater that is still being used. We continue
on to Mount Carmel, where Elijah challenged the
false prophets. On our way to Nazareth, where
Jesus grew up, we will visit the excavation of
Megiddo. From its heights, we will enjoy a view
of the famous valley of Armageddon. Finally, we
travel down the winding roads to the beautiful
Sea of Galilee. We check into our hotel and enjoy
dinner and a relaxing evening together in
Tiberius.
DAY 4 – (A day around the Galilee)
We begin our day with a boat ride on the very
waters that Jesus invited Peter to walk. This day
is full of adventure, visiting the Mt. of Beatitudes,
where Jesus delivered His first seminar. On that
hillside we will read His words and listen for what
He is saying to us today. We will travel in the
area of the three villages where Jesus performed
most of His miracles—Capernaum, Chorazin and
Bethsaida, spending meaningful time in
Capernaum. During our three days in Galilee, we
will celebrate a special baptism for those who
want to participate.
DAY 5 – (The borders of Israel)
Today we tour the Golan Heights. We will hear
the explanations of the past and present strategic
and political significance of this area. We plan to
visit one of Israel’s family-owned wineries. We
will spend some time at Caesarea Philippi, where
Jesus asked the disciples, “Who do you say I
am?” We continue to the source of the Dan River,
which leads into the Jordan River. At Tel Dan
Nature Reserve, we will be treated to a refreshing
DAY 7 – (The Old City)
Today, we enter the Old City through St.
Stephen’s Gate, walk up to the Temple Mount,
and view the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of
the Rock, whose golden dome is the mostrecognized landmark in Jerusalem. Afterward,
we visit the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus cured
an invalid man. One of the highlights of our trip
is to stop at the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) for
an opportunity to pray, then go into the Rabbis’
Tunnels that follow along its subterranean wall,
where we can see the gargantuan, perfectly
hewn boulders that were the foundation of the
ancient Temple.
DAY 8 – (The New City)
Today, we go to the New City of Jerusalem.
We’ll visit the Israel Museum, where we’ll view a
scale model of the city of Jerusalem from New
Testament times, including the Second Temple.
At the Museum site, we’ll also go to the Shrine
of the Book to see the Dead Sea Scrolls, housed
in a specially prepared building.
Before dinner, we will again visit the Western
Wall for a most interesting experience of the
religious Jews bringing in the Sabbath.
DAY 9 – (Bethlehem)
We begin our day on Mount Scopus and the
Mount of Olives. This is a most spectacular view
of Jerusalem across the Kidron Valley to the
Eastern Gate. We will walk down Palm Sunday
Road and visit the Garden of Gethsemane. We
will drive by the Shepherd’s Field before
crossing the border into Bethlehem, the
birthplace of Jesus. The Church of the Nativity is
a genuine site in Manger Square. We hope to
meet with a few of our friends in Bethlehem.
Upon return to Jerusalem, we will go into the
Old City once more to visit with our friend, who
is an antiquities shopkeeper. The shop and our
friend make up a fascinating experience in the
Arab Market.
DAY 10 – (The Jewish Quarter)
Travel around the pinnacle of the Temple to the
City of David and on to the House of Caiaphas,
where Jesus was held prisoner on the night
before His trial and visit an ancient tomb with its
own “rolling stone” to seal it shut. We will
continue to Mount Zion and the “Upper Room”.
We will visit Yad V’shem, the memorial to the
Holocaust—to the 6 million Jews murdered by
the Nazis—a sobering experience. Then, free
time before our last dinner at our hotel.
DAY 11– (Final day in Jerusalem)
We return to the Old City of Jerusalem’s
reconstructed Jewish Quarter. We walk through
the Ancient Cardo, the main street during the
time of Jesus. On our visit to the Southern
Steps, the archaeological reconstruction of the
Temple Steps, you will literally walk where Jesus
walked so often. We end the day with quiet
prayer and meditation at the Garden Tomb.
Our new family of pilgrims will enjoy a Farewell
Dinner at a Middle Eastern Restaurant in Abu
Ghosh. This is always a good time of reflection
and interaction about our life-changing
experiences in the Holy Land.
After customs and boarding, we will settle in for
the night and wake up in the USA. Welcome
Home! You will be amazed how personal Jesus
has become.
