Email: [email protected] Phone: (949) 394-5444 DAY 1 – (Our trip to the Holy Land) We depart LAX with a stopover in Newark. We travel overnight and arrive in Tel Aviv, Israel. Our guide will meet us upon arrival. walk to view the Abrahamic Gate. In our travels we will be able to view the borders of Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. On this evening we will enjoy a special festive dinner at our favorite private, restaurant, located on the Galilee. DAY 2 – (An evening on the Mediterranean) After clearing customs, we board an airconditioned tour bus to our hotel on the Mediterranean shoreline. After check-in, we have our first dinner together and retire for a good night’s sleep. DAY6– (On to Jerusalem) Today we go to the southern region of Israel. We visit the city of Beit Shean, one of the earliest and most important cities in Israel from the time of the Canaanites. This is a live dig, where you will see both Old Testament and New Testament sites. We continue through the Jordan Valley, passing the ancient city of Jericho, the first city conquered in the Promised Land. We continue to Masada, a spectacular desert fortress. After a cable car ride up the rocky cliffs of Masada, we will explore Herod’s palaces and learn the powerful story of “never again”. Masada overlooks the Dead Sea, where we will visit and those who like will be able to experience of floating in the Sea and its healing minerals. This is the lowest place on earth! On the way to Jerusalem we visit the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Tonight we will enter the Holy City of Jerusalem. After checking into our beautiful hotel for the next four nights, we will enjoy dinner together. DAY 3 (Our introduction to Galilee Region) After a big breakfast buffet, we begin our day at Caesarea By The Sea, where both Paul and Peter visited. Its ruins include a magnificent amphitheater that is still being used. We continue on to Mount Carmel, where Elijah challenged the false prophets. On our way to Nazareth, where Jesus grew up, we will visit the excavation of Megiddo. From its heights, we will enjoy a view of the famous valley of Armageddon. Finally, we travel down the winding roads to the beautiful Sea of Galilee. We check into our hotel and enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening together in Tiberius. DAY 4 – (A day around the Galilee) We begin our day with a boat ride on the very waters that Jesus invited Peter to walk. This day is full of adventure, visiting the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered His first seminar. On that hillside we will read His words and listen for what He is saying to us today. We will travel in the area of the three villages where Jesus performed most of His miracles—Capernaum, Chorazin and Bethsaida, spending meaningful time in Capernaum. During our three days in Galilee, we will celebrate a special baptism for those who want to participate. DAY 5 – (The borders of Israel) Today we tour the Golan Heights. We will hear the explanations of the past and present strategic and political significance of this area. We plan to visit one of Israel’s family-owned wineries. We will spend some time at Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus asked the disciples, “Who do you say I am?” We continue to the source of the Dan River, which leads into the Jordan River. At Tel Dan Nature Reserve, we will be treated to a refreshing DAY 7 – (The Old City) Today, we enter the Old City through St. Stephen’s Gate, walk up to the Temple Mount, and view the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, whose golden dome is the mostrecognized landmark in Jerusalem. Afterward, we visit the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus cured an invalid man. One of the highlights of our trip is to stop at the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) for an opportunity to pray, then go into the Rabbis’ Tunnels that follow along its subterranean wall, where we can see the gargantuan, perfectly hewn boulders that were the foundation of the ancient Temple. DAY 8 – (The New City) Today, we go to the New City of Jerusalem. We’ll visit the Israel Museum, where we’ll view a scale model of the city of Jerusalem from New Testament times, including the Second Temple. At the Museum site, we’ll also go to the Shrine of the Book to see the Dead Sea Scrolls, housed in a specially prepared building. Before dinner, we will again visit the Western Wall for a most interesting experience of the religious Jews bringing in the Sabbath. DAY 9 – (Bethlehem) We begin our day on Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives. This is a most spectacular view of Jerusalem across the Kidron Valley to the Eastern Gate. We will walk down Palm Sunday Road and visit the Garden of Gethsemane. We will drive by the Shepherd’s Field before crossing the border into Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. The Church of the Nativity is a genuine site in Manger Square. We hope to meet with a few of our friends in Bethlehem. Upon return to Jerusalem, we will go into the Old City once more to visit with our friend, who is an antiquities shopkeeper. The shop and our friend make up a fascinating experience in the Arab Market. DAY 10 – (The Jewish Quarter) Travel around the pinnacle of the Temple to the City of David and on to the House of Caiaphas, where Jesus was held prisoner on the night before His trial and visit an ancient tomb with its own “rolling stone” to seal it shut. We will continue to Mount Zion and the “Upper Room”. We will visit Yad V’shem, the memorial to the Holocaust—to the 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis—a sobering experience. Then, free time before our last dinner at our hotel. DAY 11– (Final day in Jerusalem) We return to the Old City of Jerusalem’s reconstructed Jewish Quarter. We walk through the Ancient Cardo, the main street during the time of Jesus. On our visit to the Southern Steps, the archaeological reconstruction of the Temple Steps, you will literally walk where Jesus walked so often. We end the day with quiet prayer and meditation at the Garden Tomb. Our new family of pilgrims will enjoy a Farewell Dinner at a Middle Eastern Restaurant in Abu Ghosh. This is always a good time of reflection and interaction about our life-changing experiences in the Holy Land. After customs and boarding, we will settle in for the night and wake up in the USA. Welcome Home! You will be amazed how personal Jesus has become.
