FairCoin is a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin.
It is a descendant of Peercoin: the blocks are generated using a PoW/PoS hybrid.

Some advice before starting
Cryptocurrencies give you the opportunity to be your own bank and this is
great, but you must keep some security tips in mind:
- Always create a strong password to encrypt your wallet. This is necessary
to protect your wallet from thieves.
-Never keep this info in a device that is connected to the internet to avoid it
being hacked or stolen..
-Always have a backup of your wallet. This prevents the loss of your FairCoin
if your pc crashes.

The most practical way to exchange money
between sellers and buyers is to use the

A paper wallet is a single-use wallet that you can use to take your
FairCoin with you and pay for goods and services when, for example, you
dont have a mobile device, or you want to store it in a safe place. Because
it is not connected to the internet you can keep your FairCoins safe in this
off-line format.

1. What's the difference between a wallet and an Address?
The wallet is the name of the application (It is like your pocket wallet). It's where you
can have many Addresses. The Address is a unique alphanumeric code where you put
your FairCoins (like your bank account number)
2. What is the QR Code?
It's an easy way to give others your Address. You need a camera and software to run it,
but most PCs and android phones can do this. (Linux users must configure this kind of
application).
3. Why do I need to wait for the transaction to be confirmed?
Because the miners must validate the transaction to add it to the blockchain. The more
nodes we have the less we will need to wait.

4. How can I pay for good and services if the store doesn't have wifi or an
internet conecction?
The Android wallet allows you to send FC using Bluetooth when you dont have an
internet connection but remember that you will need to connect to the internet to
validate the transaction (this step could be done later)
5. How can I pay for goods and services if the store doesn't have a PC with
camera or a mobile device to scan the QR Code?
The store can send you the Address or the QR Code via mail, or using most online chat
services (best to check https://prism-break.org/ for spy-free ones) ...to make the
payment.
6. What is a Paper Wallet?
A paper wallet allows you to take your FairCoin with you and pay with it wherever there
is a device that can scan your QR Code. It is a good solution for small places without
access to PCs for example. You can also use it as a safe place to store your FairCoin .
