How will this relate to their current elite
sport in Football?
• Fundamental movements that other sports
involve that relate to football.
• Learn important life skills (behaviours, focus,
learning etc)
• Become more confident
• Keeps players fresh & motivated for our football
programme with the variety.
• Its fun & challenging physically.
• Improve players Social skills.
Why are we allowing our age groups to
experiment & enjoy other sports?
• Freedom to be a child.
• Freedom to try & experiment without added
pressures from Parents/Coaches/Players.
• Socially mixing with all teammates off the pitch.
• Keeping fresh for football with variety in the STFC
programme.
• Opportunity to possibly learn another sport
which you may enjoy in the future.
• Out of comfort zone and normal environment
When will the multisport programme take
place?
Sessions are subject to vary and change
frequently, with the hope that every 3 weeks
our players will partake in a different sport. No
set structure can be in place due to our
programme & the multisport schedules.
Attendance
It is certainly not compulsory, although a lot of
planning & organising has gone into meetings
with local clubs, and the potential of a link with
Swindon Town Academy Players, to allow
opportunities to take part in different sports.
