Newsletter 9th December 2015 A bumper edition as this is the final newsletter of 2015! Dear All It has been another action packed term and I can’t quite believe that it is nearly Christmas! Once again, I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and commitment. Can I also take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support. Please try and bring the correct £3 change to this week’s Achievement Assembly when you will be able to purchase your brownies for the weekend – enjoy! Christmas Party Day Next Thursday the 17th December, is Christmas Party day! Children can come to school in their party clothes if they wish to do so. Alternatively they can bring an outfit to change into for the parties. Please ensure that any clothes and shoes are appropriate for school and that your child still brings a warm coat for playtimes. Special Visitor At 2:45pm on Thursday 17th December, a Special Visitor is coming… If you would like to join us, please do. NSPCC Thanks to your continuing generosity, we raised an incredible £433.24 for the NSPCC. Well done to everybody who took part. Head Lice Unfortunately, we have had reports of unwelcome visitors in school. Please can you check your child /ren and treat accordingly. Thank you. Christmas Performances After each Key Stage 1 performance, our PTFA will be selling tea, coffee, mince pies and cakes in the school hall. Please enjoy the refreshments and your contributions will help PTFA funds. There will also be a collection after each performance, the proceeds from which will be split between St Luke’s Church and Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Thank you for your support. Community Diary Date Norland Working Men’s Club will be holding their Children’s Christmas Party on Sunday 13th December at 2pm which is free to attend. Please come along and see the entertainer, we understand Santa will also be visiting! Please bring a wrapped named present for your child. Church Diary Dates Sunday 13th December: Toy Service & Christingle 3:30pm Sunday 20th December: 9 lessons and carols 3:30. Quiet candle light service. Thursday 24th December: Crib Service at 5pm. Come dressed up and join the journey to the stable. School Diary Dates Monday 14th December: KS2 Carol Service 6:30pm at St Luke’s Tuesday 15th December: KS1 Production 6:30 Wednesday 16th December: Christmas Lunch Wednesday 16th December: KS1 Production, 2:30pm and 6:30pm Thursday 17th December: Christmas Party day with a ‘special visitor’. Friday 18th December: End of term service at St Luke’s 9:15. Achievement assembly at 2pm.
