DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (“DEN”) SOUTHWEST AIRLINES TO CHARLESTON
GIVEAWAY (“Contest”)
(OFFICIAL RULES)
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS
CONTEST.
1. BINDING AGREEMENT: In order to enter the Contest, you (“Contestant”) must agree to these
Official Rules (“Rules”). The Rules consist of the terms and conditions on this page (“Contest
Materials”). These Rules will form a legally binding agreement with respect to this Contest, please
read them carefully. Contestants must agree to these Rules to be eligible for the Contest.
Contestant agrees registration for this Contest and/or a submission of an entry in the Contest
constitutes an agreement to these Rules.
2. ELIGIBILITY: To enter, Contestant must be a legal resident of the 48 contiguous United States
and District of Columbia (Florida, New York, and Rhode Island residents excluded) and at least
nineteen (19) years of age with a valid email account at the time of entry. Contestants must submit
contact information with entry in order to be eligible to try to win the giveaway. This Contest is
void where prohibited. Employees (including without limitation, part-time, temporary, or volunteer
employees) of the City and County of Denver (“City”), Southwest Airlines Co., Belmond
Charleston Place Hotel and Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (collectively, “Prize
Providers”), affiliated companies and immediate family are not eligible.
3. HOW TO ENTER/CONTEST PERIOD/WINNER NOTIFICATION: Instructions on how to
participate in the Contest and submit an entry will be on the Contest Website,
http://contests.flydenver.com/southwesttocharleston/. Only Contestants meeting the eligibility
standards may make entries to the contest. Entries sent by means other than as described at
http://contests.flydenver.com/southwesttocharleston/ are not eligible for the contest. The Contest
begins at 10:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) Monday, June 5, 2017, and closes at 11:59
p.m. MST Sunday, June 18, 2017. Only one entry per Contestant will be accepted. Email entries
are prohibited. City will randomly select a winner from all eligible entries received during the
Contest Period and will notify the winner via email by Wednesday, June 21, 2017. City accepts
no responsibility for submissions lost, delayed, damaged, not received, or howsoever caused. All
submissions will become the property of the City.
4. CONSUMER DISCLOSURE: PRIZES: One (1) prize includes:

Roundtrip air travel on Southwest Airlines® for winner and one (1) guest from Denver
(DEN) to Charleston (CHS) (subject to Air Travel Restrictions set forth below) (Value:
$800);

Two (2) nights, one (1) room at Belmond Charleston Place Hotel and two (2) VIP passes
for entry to more than 50 local tours and attractions (Value: $800).

Approximate retail value of prize: $1,600.
Important Information Regarding Southwest Airlines E-passes:
Air Travel Restrictions: Air travel is subject to Southwest Airlines terms and conditions; certain
restrictions may apply. Round trip travel for two (2) on Southwest Airlines will be awarded in the
form of four (4) Southwest flight e-passes. Each Southwest flight e-pass is valid for one-way
travel on Southwest Airlines-operated, published, scheduled service in the United States and
Puerto Rico. The Southwest flight e-pass will bear the date of issue and the date of expiration.
Expiration dates will not be extended, and travel must be completed on or before the expiration
date. The Southwest flight e-pass is not valid on interline or codeshare service. The Southwest
flight e-pass is non-refundable and is not redeemable for cash or credit. The Southwest flight epass will not be replaced for any reason, including, without limitation, if lost, stolen, or
fraudulently used. The Southwest flight e-pass is non-transferrable and cannot be sold to a third
party. Sale, auction, or re-tendering of the Southwest flight e-pass for money or otherwise is
strictly prohibited. The Southwest flight e-pass may not be used for promotional purposes
unless previously approved by Southwest Airlines. Any suspected fraud, misrepresentation,
misuse, abuse or violation of the Southwest flight e-pass rules and regulations may result in
cancellation of the Southwest flight e-pass(es). Southwest flight e-pass holders are required to
be nineteen (19) years of age or older and a legal U.S. resident. However, the recipient of a
Southwest flight e-pass may arrange travel for another person if done without selling or
bartering a Southwest flight e-pass. Air transportation by Southwest Airlines is subject to
Southwest Airlines’ Passenger Contract of Carriage set out at
https://www.southwest.com/html/about-southwest/index.html?clk=GFOOTER-CONTRACT-OFCARRIAGE#_tab_6. If the winner does not live in a city served by Southwest Airlines, he/she is
responsible for transportation to and from the nearest airport served by Southwest Airlines.
Winner is responsible for booking all travel and paying all applicable international taxes and fees.
Travel is based on seat availability. Seats on any desired flight are not guaranteed. Winner and
guest(s) must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel
documents. Winner and guest must have valid government-issued photo identification at the time
of travel. If the travel guest is a minor, winner must be his/her parent/guardian, or be accompanied
by his/her parent/guardian.
5. OTHER RULES AND INFORMATION: Odds of winning a prize are dependent on the number
of entries received. An entry during the length of this contest makes a Contestant eligible for the
prize drawing. The prize(s) that may be awarded to the eligible winner(s) are not transferable,
redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. If a potential winner is disqualified or
fails to respond to Sponsor’s attempt to notify them of selection within X days, the next eligible
entry will be selected until the prize is awarded or until X attempts have been made to award the
prize and each attempt has failed. Winner(s) must present state authorized identification prior to
claiming the prize. Winner(s) must execute a waiver and release of liability as a condition of award
of the prize. The name of the winner is available after Wednesday, June 21, 2017, upon request
to DEN’s Global Communication and Marketing division. Any portion of this contest which permits
or requires an entrant to participate via comment, like or share on facebook.com is subject to

6. SPONSOR: This contest is sponsored by the City and County of Denver, by and through its
Department of Aviation, a Municipal Corporation with a principal place of business at 8500 Pena
Boulevard Denver, CO 80249. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered
by, or associated with, Southwest Airlines and/or Facebook, Inc. Any questions, comments, or
complaints regarding the promotion must be directed to Sponsor, not Southwest Airlines, or
Facebook, Inc.
7. PRIVACY NOTICE: By participating in this Contest, Contestant agrees City can collect your
personal information, and that if we cannot collect the required data, you may not be eligible to
participate in the Contest. Any personal information collected during the course of the competition
by City will be used for administering this Contest and for other purposes as outlined in these
Rules. Contestants can request to have their information collected for the sweepstakes removed
from any notification system by submitting such request in writing to DEN’s Global
Communications and Marketing division. Contestants acknowledge City is subject to the
provisions of the Colorado Open Records Act, Colorado Revised Statutes 24-72-201 et seq., and
the Contestant agrees it will fully cooperate with City in an event of a request or a lawsuit arising
under such act for the disclosure of any materials or information which the Contestant asserts is
confidential and exempt from disclosure. Any other provision of this Agreement notwithstanding,
including all attachments or other documents incorporated into this Agreement by reference, all
materials, records and information provided by the Contestant to City shall be considered
confidential by City only to the extent provided in the Open Records Act, and the Contestant
agrees that any disclosure of information by City consistent with the provisions of the Open
Records Act shall result in no liability of City.
8. MEDIA ACTIVITY: Except where prohibited, by participating in this Contest, you agree and
hereby grant City permission to use, copy, modify and make available your submissions to the
public for any purpose, such as, but not limited to, press and media communications, without
further compensation to you. You also agree to participate in any media or promotional activity
regarding the Contest. If you are a winner, you agree that City may use your name and likeness
to administer and promote the Contest or Airport Services and to conduct media interviews and
promotional events.
9. GENERAL CONDITIONS: This Contest is governed by the laws of City, the State of Colorado,
and the United States of America. By entering the Contest, Contestant agrees to comply with all
federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. All Federal, State, and Local laws and
regulations apply including Denver International Airport Rules and Regulations. By participating
in this Contest, you agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by City’s decisions,
which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Contest. Entries that are lost, late,
misdirected, incorrect, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including due to
hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, or congestion, will not be eligible.
City further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify any promotion not capable of
completion as planned. City reserves the right to disqualify any entry that fails to comply with
these Official Rules, who attempts to enter the contest in any manner or through any means other
than those described, or who attempts to disrupt the Contest or to circumvent these Official Rules
or commits fraud or submits false information. City reserves the right to update the Official Rules
at any time and will do their best to keep Contestants informed of changes but it is ultimately the
responsibility of each Contestant to be aware of any updates. No substitutions for prizes except
by City, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted. Any Local, State, or
Federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the Contest winner. Winnings of $600 or more will be
reported to the IRS. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winners' names and
likenesses for editorial and publicity purposes, without further compensation.
10. INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: BY ENTERING THE CONTEST,
EACH CONTESTANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS
SPONSOR, ADMINISTRATOR, PRIZE PROVIDERS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL
AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES,
REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY
RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT
CONTESTANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR
MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. SPONSOR DOES NOT MAKE ANY
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR
MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR, AND ALL ITS RESPECTIVE OFFICERS,
DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY
FOR DAMAGE TO ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM RESULTING FROM ACCESS TO OR THE
DOWNLOAD OF INFORMATION OR MATERIALS CONNECTED WITH THE CONTEST.
11. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS
CONTEST.
