BIBLE CHALLENGE
is an annual college-wide bible quiz
competition organized by SMSTheoPhilo Area and participated by
selected BIBSTUD students from the
4 schools of the De La Salle-College
of Saint Benilde (SDA, SHRIM, SMIT,
& SMS).
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To encourage among BIBSTUD
students the love and habit of
reading and studying the Bible so
that hopefully they may regularly
pray, practice, and share God’s
words to others.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
After the Bible Challenge 2011 events, the
participants are expected to:
1. gain more knowledge about the
Scriptures.
2. develop the habit of reading and
studying the Bible.
3. learn basic skills in locating specific
materials in the Bible.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
4. promote the spirit of excellence,
teamwork, camaraderie, and
genuine faith with BIBSTUD
Professors and fellow students.
5. appreciate the Bible as the life-giving
and transforming words of God.

ELIMINATION ROUND
TEAM SELECTION PROCESS/ COMPOSITION:
1. Each class must have one team representative
composed of four (4) members.
2. The choice for the class team representative may be
done through an elimination round of the Bible
Challenge in class or chosen by the BIBSTUD
professor as class team representative.
3. The class team representatives are to be composed
of Benildean students currently enrolled in a
BIBSTUD class for the 1st term AY 2011-12,
regardless of age, gender, religion, or culture.

3 rounds with 10 questions in each
round:
1. Easy Round = Matching Biblical Passages
with their Correct Titles
2. Average Round = Matching Biblical
Passages with their Appropriate Biblical
Interpretation
3. Difficult Round = Identification of Bible books,
Characters, Places, and Biblical Terms
BIBLE QUIZ FORMAT
• At the end of the first round, only the top
ten (10) teams will proceed to the second
round. (Subject to revision)
• At the end of the second round, only the
top five (5) teams will proceed to the third
round. (Subject to revision)
• In case of a tie (only in the third round),
(a) tie breaker question(s) will be given
following the mechanics for the difficult
round.

any other material inserted in it.
• Each team is given writing
materials (illustration board and
chalk) to be used in answering the
questions given.

for the easy round, 30 seconds;
for the average round, 20 seconds;
for the difficult round, 10 seconds.
• The teams are to raise their boards with
their respective answers when
