On Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., I’ll be playing in a local
DTFA Kickball for a Home event. My team will be playing (and
having fun) at William R. Mason Park, 18712 University Dr, Irvine,
CA 92612. We’re raising money to help children in foster care find
permanent homes and loving families.
DTFA is the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption — the only
foundation dedicated exclusively to foster care adoption. They
believe that every child is adoptable. DTFA works on behalf of more
than 100,000 U.S. children in foster care waiting to be adopted.
These children have been removed from their homes as victims of
child abuse, neglect, or abandonment and are left without families.
I’d love it if you would take the field with me to help these children. It
doesn’t matter how old you are, how fit you are, or even whether
you’ve played before. Kickball is for everybody.
If you can’t join us (and I hope you have a good excuse), please
consider making a donation. Every little bit counts. Contributions
made to Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption go to the
organization’s national signature programs, foster care adoption
awareness initiatives, and research-based advocacy.
