They are called approximants because this is an
articulation in which the articulators approach each
other but do not get sufficiently close to each other to
produce a "complete" consonant such as a stop, nasal or
fricative.
称它们为接近音是因为在发音过程中,发音器官相
互靠近,但没有像爆破音、鼻音或接近音那样相互
接触。
