Girls’ opinions: “ I want to participate in this project because I would like to prove that a person, who uses violence is not stronger than others, at least to me. That person is mentally weak and doesn’t know how to control his emotions. There are many other ways to solve a conflict or a misunderstanding. I think that even laughing at somebody is a kind of violence. Nobody is perfect, but we have to respect each other the way we are.” “I’m participating in this project to show that wrong decisions could lead to tragic results. In my opinion, there is always a way, even in bad situations, that doesn’t include hurting other people.” “I took part in a performance because I wanted to prove that some situations can hurt other people and I wanted to warn others not to make wrong decisions. I like that I can show behaviours that may cause unpleasantness, in order to prevent others from making them.” “I’ve started participating in a project because I would like to prove to myself and others than you can function without using physical and mental violence.” “I enjoy participating in such projects because I used to be a victim and perpetrator of violence. I think that actions like this one can open peoples’ eyes and make them realise that they should change something in their behaviour.” “I’m participating in this project because I want to show that a person who uses violence is mentally weak and not better than the person being abused. Through this project I would like to prove that every human being has a right to being respected and that we are all equal.” 6 P A C T A G A I N S T P E E R V I O L E N C E I N
