1. PROGRAM.
1.1. 4x4 NEZ 2013Trophy-raid Championship stage 1 and Latvian Open Trophy-raid Championship
stage 5 “STIGA TROPHY 2013" (hereinafter - Competition) takes place in Latvia, Alūksne and Ape
municipalities, on August 2 - 4, 2013.
Participant registration and technical commission for ALL SPORT vehicle categories (TR1, TR2,
TR3, OPEN and ATV) is on Thursday, August 1, from 19:00 - 23:00, Rūpniecības iela 8F, Alūksne;
GPS coordinates: N 57’25,713 / E 27’01,389.
Technical assistance vehicles, trailers together with their towing cars and lorries must go to the
secretariat of the Competition and the area of Technical commission (Alūksne, Rūpniecības iela
8F, GPS coordinates: N 57’25,713 / E 27’01,389), and accomplish all preparatory procedures –
unload the sport vehicles, participant registration, vehicle marking and technical commission.
All teams must receive a GPS tracking device (GPS “black box”) during registration on August 1.
Team takes full material responsibility of the tracking device.
On August 3 the secretariat of the Competition is relocated to recreation centre “Luksti”,
Trapene municipality; GPS coordinates: N 57’25,667 / E 26’41,931 and remains there until the
Competition is over (evening of August 4).
1.2. Off-road racing lap “STIGA TROPHY DUBĻU ĒRGLIS 2013” – competition for any off-road vehicle
takes place parallel to the stage of Competition – see attachment No 1.
1.3. A trophy-raid tourism competition “STIGA TROPHY TŪRISMA KAUSS 2013” – takes place parallel
to the stage of Competition – see attachment No 2.

19:00 - 29:30 Technical commission (arrival for technical commission within 30 minutes after
administrative commission, the exact time of arrival will be stated during the administrative

Friday, August 2:
10:15 - The first meeting of jury.
10:30 - Publication of the Start List on the official information board at the first secretariat of the

10:45 - Gathering for the parade of participants and vehicles through city Alūksne to the place of
briefing and place of Start. Parade of the participants starts in Rūpniecības iela 8F (N 57’25,713 /
E 27’01,389).
11:00 - Start of the parade.
11:20 - Placement of vehicles on the parade ground – Alūksne, Dārza iela 11 (near the municipal
council of Alūksne municipality).
11:30 - Briefing.
12:00 - The parade continues to the place of Start of the first stage of Competition.
13:00 - Start of the first stage of Competition.

1.4. The Competition is organized in accordance with the regulations of 4x4 NEZ Championship 2013,
National Sport Code of LAF (Latvian Automobile Federation), the regulations of Latvian Trophyraid championship (LTC) 2013 and in accordance with these additional regulations.

3. COMPETITOR’S VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT.
3.1. Any individual who has attained the age of 16 years and has Latvian Trophy-raid competitor’s full
season license or full season license of Trophy-raid competitor in other member state can
participate in the Competition. One time license can be obtained on the day of the Competition
at the registration (price LVL 10/ EUR 15). The driver must have valid driving license of
appropriate category.
3.2. The categories of evaluation in the Competition are:
 “TR1” – crew driving individually the vehicle of category TR1;
 “TR2” – crew driving individually the vehicle of category TR2;
 “TR3” – crew driving individually the vehicle of category TR3;
 “Open” – crew driving individually the vehicle of category Open;
 “ATV” (quadricycles) Competitors make a team of two ATV’s.
 “TEAM COMPETITION” – two or three crews united, making a team, irrespective of
categories.
3.3. Equipment.
 Food and drinking water supply minima for each crew member (for 10 hours).
 Clothing according to weather.
 Digital camera with memory card or USB cable.
 GPS, laptop (recommended).
All crew members must wear an orange vest with reflecting elements; the vest is provided by
the organizers.
Each competitor must wear a safety helmet: According to Paragraph 15.2 of LTC regulations for
competitions 2013.
The use of helmet is mandatory during the Competition in all SS. Acceptable types of helmets:
helmets of motor sports with certification “E22” or higher as well as helmets with firm outer
cover, with impact reducing filling (foam plastic, foam polystyrene etc), with inner lining, that is
integral part of helmet and with air holes. It is also allowed to use helmets of rafting
corresponding to standards EN 1078, EN 1077 or ASTM 2040, MTB helmets corresponding to
standard Snell B 90, down hill or ice hockey helmets. It is forbidden to use construction site,
cycling as well as all kinds of soft (textile) helmets.
3.4. Each vehicle participating in the Competition must be equipped with charger plug-in to ensure
power supply for route control device.
3.5. There are two ways to receive the coordinates of control points:
 from the documentation;
 submitting the USB memory module (flash card) at the registration for electronic
introduction of coordinates. Other information mediums (GPS devices, laptops, etc.) are
not accepted!
4. COURSE.
4.1 Total distance of the Competition course is ~300 km or ~30 hours.
4.2 Competitor’s task – to complete the track, made by the Competition organizer, in a defined
period of time using the legend issued and the map, to find and complete all tasks in control
points by driving the vehicle close to them. The complexity of driving close to object depends
directly from the category of vehicle.
5. RESPONSIBILITY AND SAFETY.
5.1. During the race all vehicle movements must comply with road traffic regulations. Any damage
caused to himself, to other competitor or other person is on competitor’s own liability.
5.2. Signed entry form confirms that participant has become acquainted with “LTC regulations for
competitions 2013”, “4X4 NEZ Championship 2013 Regulations”, and with regulations of the
particular competition, fully agrees with them and undertakes to follow them.
6. APPLICATION AND DONATIONS.
6.1. Amount of donation for categories TR1, TR2, TR3 and ”Open”, if submitted before June 30 – with
LAF license (or any other ASN license) LVL 70 (EUR 100), without license LVL 80 (EUR 115) from
one vehicle, after June 30 – LVL 110 (EUR 150), on the day of Competition – LVL 150 (EUR 200).
6.2. ATV (quadricycles), if submitted before June 30, – LVL 25 (EUR 35) from one ATV, after June 30 –
LVL 40 (EUR 55), on the day of Competition – LVL 50 (EUR 70).
6.3. Donations can be made via bank transfer to the following account of the organizer: Austris
Gailītis, ID: 220169-12668, IBAN: LV42UNLA0091022573220, A/S SEB BANKA, SWIFT code:
UNLALV2X. In the information field indicate the name of driver and the aim of payment –
donation to the organizer of “STIGA TROPHY 2013”.
6.4. In the day of the Competition in case of delay of not more than 1 hour, competitor has to pay
additional LVL 10 (EUR (15).
6.5. The organizer has the right to free (fully or partially) a participant from the obligation to pay
donation.

7.
PROTESTS AND APPEALS.
Submission procedure of appeals and protests must be in accordance with LTC regulations for
competitions 2013, National Sport Code of the LAF and Trophy–raid regulations of the
competition; amount of financial guarantee for the protest LVL 60 (EUR 85).
8. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
8.1. Organizer guarantees parking place for technical cars and trailers near the base camp of the
Competition. It is possible to book rooms in guest houses in the surroundings of recreation centre
"Luksti" and in the hotels of city Alūksne - for detailed information, please visit
www.stigatrophy.lv. There will be outdoor cafeteria in the recreation centre “Luksti” providing
meals for competitors and spectators.
8.2. Information about competitors vehicles, evaluation, awarding and placement of advertising, see
in LTC regulations 2013.

Regulations and road-book for
off-road racing lap

OBLIGATION to use helmets for all crew members! Without helmets the crew will not be
allowed to participate. Removal of helmet during race – disqualification. Allowed: helmets of
motor and auto sports, as well as rafting and skateboarding.
OBLIGATION for all crew members to use an orange vest with reflecting elements PROVIDED BY
ORGANIZERS so that participants can be noticed and recognized. It is forbidden to participate
without the vests.
OBLIGATION to use ropes of at least 50mm in width around the trees during winching.
Anyone who wish to challenge themselves and their "iron horse" in the lap of mud, are welcome
to participate in the mud racing lap “STIGA TROPHY DUBĻU ĒRGLIS 2013”, on August 3, 2013, in
Ape municipality Trapene rural territory (Trapenes pagasts). Base camp and registration –
recreation centre “Luksti”, GPS coordinates: N 57’25,667 / E 26’41,931.
Any off-road vehicle with 4 wheel drive that is prepared to overcome the difficulties can
participate in mud racing lap competition. There are two categories – “Mazais Dubļu Ērglis”/
“Little eagle of mud” – tyres up to 33’’; and “Lielais Dubļu Ērglis” / “Big eagle of mud” – tyres
more than 33’’.
Track: two types of trophy raid laps – modified and fully closed. For the delight of the spectators
and also participants, there will be some extra difficult spots in the lap. If you don’t have a winch,
in these places you’ll have to use footbridges, spades (don’t forget to fasten and secure them in
your vehicle - for your own safety!), your own and your crew’s muscle strength and imagination.
Each run will be evaluated separately.

COMPETITOR’S VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT.
Any individual can participate in this competition. Driver must have valid driving license of
appropriate category.

The vehicle must have valid sticker of annual technical inspection or other document proving
that vehicle have gone through technical inspection and also valid OCTA policy.
Participants of category AUTO participate individually (all kinds of self-trailing equipment
allowed). Vehicles have two categories: Standard and Prepared. Standard – vehicles with little
changes and improvement, can have one of the following – winch, mud terrain tyres (MT), body
lift system (example - if vehicle have only winch and no other improvements, it is considered
Standard). Prepared – vehicles with more than one improvement – mud terrain tyres, winch,
body lift system (example – if vehicle have winch and body lift system it is considered
Prepared). ATV and MOTOR (quadricycles and motorcycles of all types) participate in teams of 2
to 4 participants.
Equipment:
 Food and drinking water supply (minimum) for each crew member (for 12 hours).
 Clothing according to weather.
 Digital camera with memory card or USB cable.
 GPS, laptop (recommended).
 Each vehicle participating in the Competition must be equipped with charger plug-in to
ensure power supply for route control device.
 Lamp, wire rope for towing and maps of Alūksne region.
COURSE.
Total distance of Competition course is ~250 km or ~10 hours.
Competitor’s task – to accomplish the race in the track, made by the Competition organizer, in a
defined period of time using the legend, the indications and the map; to find and complete all
tasks in control points by driving vehicle close to them and take a picture, if it is asked. To
accomplish all kinds of tasks given.
5. RESPONSIBILITY AND SAFETY.
5.1 During the race all vehicle movements must comply with road traffic regulations. Any damage
caused to himself, to other competitor or other person is on competitor’s own liability.
5.2 Signed entry form confirms that participant has become acquainted with regulations of STIGA
TROPHY 2013 Tourism cup, fully agrees with them and undertakes to follow them.
5.3 Organizer can announce any restrictions that participants must obey.
6. APPLICATION AND DONATIONS.
6.1 Donation for all vehicle categories before June 30 – LVL 45 (EUR 60) from one vehicle, after June
30 – LVL 55 EUR 75), on the day of Competition – LVL 60 (EUR 85). Participation fee (donation)
for ATV and MOTO categories before June 30 – LVL 20 (EUR 30) from one vehicle, after June 30 –
LVL 25 (EUR 35), on the day of Competition – LVL 30 (EUR 40).
