AHS Park Street Players Perform You Can’t Take it with You
ASHEBORO - The Asheboro High School Park Street Players will present You Can’t Take it with
You in the Performing Arts Center November 17-20. Show times Thursday – Saturday are 7
p.m. and on Sunday, performances will take place at 2 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door and
are $5 for students and $7 for the public.
This classic comedy about family, love, and what really matters in life follows the adventures of
the Sycamore family, a collection of cheerful and eccentric (yet lovable) incompetents. Into this
whirlwind of activity comes Tony Kirby, Alice Sycamore’s boyfriend, the son of her boss, and
the epitome of normalcy and success in the business world. Tony is amused by Alice’s family
and loves Alice in spite of the craziness in her household. Despite the differences between the
two families, Alice and Tony are soon engaged and a dinner party is planned for Tony’s parents
at the Sycamore home. However, as with most things in this wacky family, things don’t go
exactly as planned.
