Peter lived with many people
in a small and beautiful village.
They all lived together with peace
and happiness.
PiPi, Cubby and BeBe were
residents of this village, too.

Peter was a very lonely
person. This was because his face
always looked fierce and no one
liked to be close to him.
He seldom spoke with his
neighbors. No-one knew he was
very brave and could overcome
many obstacles. He would fight
with the devil and not give up!

One day, a wolf wanted to
disturb this beautiful village and
destroy all the things. Such a
beautiful village had become
cluttered now.

That day the weather was bad
and the sky was very dark.
Suddenly, the floor began to
make a noise
“ hong-long,hong-long” and
shook long and hard like an
earthquake. All the residents were
very scared and put their heads
out of their doors and windows
to see what was happening.

A wolf was moving closer
toward them. First, the wolf went
towards PiPi. At this time, PiPi
was building his new house.
“Shooo-Shooo!” the wolf blew
down the new house. When PiPi
saw the wolf approaching to him,
he was very afraid and said “Help!
Help!,Please help me!”

Suddenly, Peter walked up the
road and saw Pipi in danger and
being bullied the wolf. Peter’s
face was angry. He shouted:
“Don’t come here again, and
please go out of our village!” to
the wolf. The wolf saw his fierce
face and was scared so he quickly
ran away.

Pipi saw his house had been
damaged and cried. Peter told his
friend not to worry. “I will help
you rebuild the new house, don’t
be sad.” They cleaned up the
home and rebuilt the new house.

They soon completed the
work. Pipi was very happy and
said “thank you for your help,
Peter”, and he went to kitchen to
take a piece of cake, “I would
like to give you this cake,” said
Pipi.

Peter was very happy, so he
went home. However, on the way
home he heard a sound. “Help!
Help! Please don’t eat me!” The
wolf was ready to eat Cubby.
~ 17 ~

Peter immediately ran over
and then took a big stone to
throw on the wolf ’s head, “Ouch”
screamed the wolf and ran away.
~ 19 ~
~ 20 ~
After seeing the wolf leave,
he continued to walk home at
ease. When he arrived home, he
saw a flock of sheep being
frightened and escaping from the
ranch. Meanwhile the wolf was
ready to put those sheep in its
stomach.

However Peter immediately
put a banana’s peel on the floor,
“Aaaaargh!” cried the wolf as he
slipped and fell down, and
banged his head.
~ 23 ~

Peter was still worried about
his neighbor. So he decided to
continue to take care of other
villagers. When he walked along
the road, he saw the wolf was
going towards Bebe’s home. Bebe
was cooking a pot of delicious
soup. The wolf looked at the pot
of soup, rubbed his belly and
said “Oh, I’m so hungry, I didn’t
eat anything today.”

When the wolf was ready to
grab the pot of soup he
accidentally tripped over a stone,
and fell into the soup. “Aaeaeiiiiii”
he screamed in pain.

After that day the wolf never
appeared in this village again.
Because of Peter’s bravery and
eagerness to help his neighbors,
the village became calm and
beautiful. All the people were
good friends with Peter and were
not afraid of his terrible face.
