The Auris maintains Toyota’s high standards in safety,
achieving a 5-star 2013 Euro NCAP crash-test rating.
It is equipped with all these safety features:

1 Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and
Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD)
both help maintain control. ABS prevents
the wheels from locking when braking. EBD
optimises the brake force on each wheel.
2 Brake Assist (BA) detects when you
attempt an emergency stop, and applies
extra brake pressure. This enables ABS
to work to its full potential.

Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) activates
individual brakes and controls engine
output to help prevent skidding when
cornering on slippery surfaces.

5 Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) helps to
ensure a smooth start on steep inclines by
applying the brakes for up to two seconds
after the brake pedal is released. This
prevents the vehicle from rolling back. It is
activated by pushing the brake pedal harder
after stopping, as long as the transmission
shift lever is in any forward gear position.
6 Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)
includes seven airbags, comprising a driver’s
knee airbag, SRS airbags for both the driver
and front passenger, side airbags for
the front seats, and SRS curtain shield
airbags covering both the front and
rear seat passengers.
4 Traction Control (TRC) automatically
reduces engine power and controls
brake force if you accelerate too hard.
This helps to restore traction.

when space is tight, you’ll find the guidance
given by the Toyota parking aid system a big help
in avoiding accidental scrapes.
Depending on your car’s specification, you can
add sensors to the front, rear, or front and rear
bumpers. These link to in-car warning beepers that
become progressively more frequent the closer
your vehicle gets to an obstacle. Conveniently, the
system can be switched off when you don’t need it.

Corrosion Cover
The 12-year unlimited mileage cover protects against
rust perforation affecting sheet metal body panels as
a result of a manufacturing fault. This warranty can also
be transferred to any future owner throughout the

Toyota Extended Warranty
You have the choice of either the unlimited mileage
cover or the low-user option that restricts you to
10,000 miles per year. You also have a choice between
12 and 24 months’ cover (subject to vehicle eligibility).
The 24-month option will show a saving over two
12-month Toyota Extended Warranty policies and is
available with the low-user option at 10,000 miles
per year over 24 months.
The Toyota Extended Warranty can be renewed until
the vehicle is eight years old, and if a part covered by
the Toyota Extended Warranty suffers electrical or
mechanical failure at any time during the term, Toyota
is committed to fixing it. You don’t pay for replacement
parts or labour.
