A separate form for each event you are requesting. The Application Fee is due in full to accompany the application. Do
not promote your event(s) until you receive an approval from Executive Director. A request is not approved until staff can
evaluate your request as well as your previous record of conducting events.

By submitting this Application for Tournament Sanctioning and the appropriate fee, I certify that all information I have
provided is truthful and accurate.
I agree that I will abide by the governing documents of North Texas Region of USA Volleyball and their National
Governing Body, USA Volleyball. I also agree to meet the requirements set forth in the Sanctioning Requirements and
Timeline. I agree to pay any fines caused by a failure to do so. I agree that any fines will be submitted prior to any other
event we have applied to conduct.
I understand that failure to comply with tournament rules and regulations, or any issues brought forward, may result in
my disqualification to be sanctioned to run events in the future.

DEFINITIONS
*Application Fee - $500 for a 1-Day event and $1000 for a 2-Day event.
*Tournament Director (TD) – TD is the person who is responsible for adhering to all sanctioning and tournament
guidelines. TD is the person who is responsible for meeting all deadlines and who is the primary point-of-contact with
NTR Office.
*Court Count – Due 3 Weeks Out. This is your tournament baseline. This includes sites, number of courts at each, age
divisions at each site.
*One-Week Out – Noon the Friday preceding the Saturday OR Sunday of an event.
*Two-Weeks Out – Noon the Friday preceding One-Week Out.
*Three-Weeks Out – Noon the Friday preceding Two-Weeks Out.
*Event plus 3-Days - Noon the Wednesday immediately following the weekend of the event.
*Event plus 7-Days – 5:00p the Monday following the Monday immediately after the weekend of the event.
TOURNAMENT SANCTIONING TIMELINE







Aug 19 – 5:00p – E-mail this form to Executive Director – one form per tournament
If Tournament is sanctioned. Tournament information will be entered in V-Star and distributed to Club
Directors at Annual Meeting.
3-Weeks Out
o Strive to clear up all Pending Entries
o Final Court Count (see definition) Due to NTR
o After this date, courts may increase up to 5%, if officials are available
o If over 5% is required, then $100/court will be added to Sanction Fees
o After this date, courts may be dropped for $100/court
No later than One Week out – Deadline to merge with another tournament
Pools Posted Tuesday prior to the event
Event plus 3-Days – Results are Posted
Event plus 7-Days – Reconcile actual sanction fees versus Sanction Application Fee and pay difference,
if any.
PENALTIES FOR FAILURE TO COMPLY and/or PERFORM



First Offense - $100
Second Offense - $250
Third Offense - $500 and Disqualification for Future Tournament Sanctioning for at least the following season.
