I would like my local Councillor to consider the following request for funding:
In response to a plea by families with young children living in the Symonds Green area, I am using my Local
Community funds to replace an embankment slide that was once in place in the play area adjacent to Clovelly
Way.
For many years children of all ages, their parents, carers and grandparents have asked Councillors to re-instate
a slide that deteriorated and had to be removed several years ago.
The Symonds Green ward members have been speaking with the residents of Symonds Green, council officers
and manufacturers, to find an affordable way to bring a slide back to the landscape and rejuvenate the play area
The Clovelly Way play area provides a space for families to enjoy being out doors and free and accessible fun.
