Job Title: Starter/Ranger/Player Assistant – Tullymore/St. Ives
Reports: Head Golf Pro
Summary/Objective:
The Starter/Ranger/Player Assistant is the golf course steward who is primarily responsible for tee-off
times, directing flow of traffic, enforcing the clubs’ rules and regulations, and players code of etiquette.
They also oversee the golf course grounds and assist the players with any on-course complications.
Job Functions:

Checks with the golf shop for any unusual or special instructions.
Constantly obtain an updated tee sheet.
Ensure the radio (for communication) is in good working condition.
Enforce groups tee off on time and keep the pace of play throughout the round.
Maintain a clean and organized course and work station.
Report to the pro shop every 25-30 minutes.
Prerequisites:
Must have excellent oral communication, excel within a team dynamic, strong organizational skills, and
exceptional time management. Also, have outstanding customer service.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the golf industry, as well as, customer service.
Position Type and Hours of Work:
This is a part-time seasonal position, which averages between 24 - 32 hours per week.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift material that could weigh up to 20 pounds and move material that could weigh up to
50 pounds. Also, must be able to operate golf carts.
