• To raise awareness among young
Europeans about the significance of
learning Europe’s history and heritage
while creating opportunities for mutual
understanding
To find and discover some heroes of the history of a country
and present them to the other one (working on-line during
the year from October to March
• To write and act imaginary interviews with
these heroes in an history show (working face
to face during the exchange in Spring)

Finding heroes
We’ll find some heroes in the
history of each country in
different fields of life and culture
Discovering heroes
Presenting heroes Every country
will present the selected heroes
of his history sending files about
them to the other country. These
files will
be multimedia ones (texts, audio,
video, pictures, short video
lessons, links to websites) and
will be uploaded in the website of
the school.
Discussing heroes
Every country will discuss the
files about the life and the work
of the heroes of the other
country. Every opinion and
question will be shared in
periodical videoconferences
among Italian and Finnish
students.
The history show
- All the files about selected heroes will be written in English,
Italian and Finnish. The same about the interviews during the
exchange.

HERE AND NOW
• - All pupils will discuss about the meaning of the word ''Hero''
to use in the project.
• - Finnish students will select 12 heroes from the history of
Finland (from the past to nowadays) in different fields.
• - Finnish students will be split in 12 groups (7-8 each group):
1 group will work on 1 hero.
• - Every group will discover their hero finding information,
interviewing teachers or experts and producing multimedia
• material about him/her to upload every week from half
November on the website of the Finnish/ ITALIAN school.
• - Italian students will read and discuss these files in 4
videoconferences (one for each month) with their Finnish
friends.
• - During the exchange every group will write and recite the
imaginary interview with their hero in the History Show
