WOODBRIDGE,VA–May2,2017.VirginiaDevelopmentAcademy(VDA)announcedtodayVienna
YouthSoccer,Inc.(VYS)willbecomeitsfourthmemberclub,joiningPrinceWilliamSoccer(PWSI),
VirginiaSoccerAssociation(VSA)andChantillyYouthAssociation(CYA).
Intheupcoming2017-18travelseason,VDAwillbetheonlyclubinVirginiafieldingteamsinboth
theBoys’andGirls’U.S.SoccerDevelopmentAcademy.VDAwillalsoparticipateinCCLPro23this
summerwithbothmenandwomen’sU-23teams.
AllfourclubsaremembersoftheVirginiaNPLprovidingaplatformforidentificationand
developmentandtheabilitytoconnectthepathwaytotheAcademyforplayersandcoaches.VDAis
committedtodevelopingandpromotingfromwithinandwilldrawahighpercentageofitsplayers
andcoachesfromthememberclubs.Thisfall,VDAwilllaunchacoacheducationanddevelopment
programopentoallselectcoachesofVDA-memberclubs.Clubswillutilizeasharedcurriculumand
developmentmodelforallselectplayers12Uandyounger.
