ROCKY 1 EMBRY RIDDLE 3 Rocky would lose their first game of the season this afternoon in a 3-1 loss to Embry Riddle University. Embry Riddle would open the scoring in the 5th minute of play, Jacob Brech getting in behind the Rocky defense and placing the ball into the back of the net. Rocky would equalize in the 11th minute of play, Chris Jermy (Glasgow, Scotland) passing the ball into the back of the net on an assist from Oliver Gore (Stafford, England). Embry Riddle forward Tristan Korras would score the eventual game winner in the 26th minute. The games final goal would be scored with just 17 minutes remaining in the game, Fabio Pena volleying home from close range. Rocky is now 8-1-1 on the season and will play next against Bethesda Christian University tomorrow at 2pm. “We did not play well today. Embry Riddle are a very good side and we did not show up to play. I am disappointed with the result and hope that we can rebound for our game tomorrow.” Said Head Coach Richard Duffy.
