FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada Job Description Position Title: Functional Title: (if appropriate) Department/Division: Reports To: Date: Sales Support Associate FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada AVP Inside Sales 2015 Position Summary: Reporting to the AVP Inside Sales, the Sales Support Associate is responsible for preparing and submitting new and renewing premium finance loans under a pre-defined volume threshold. The candidate will be responsible for diligent follow-up on pending quotes and renewals and providing excellent customer service to brokers. He/she will support the Relationship Managers to effectively retain and grow the broker base, as well as provide the necessary support to ensure the sales region achieves its volume and revenue targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare incoming quote requests Proactively perform quote follow-up on new quotes, renewal quotes and lost quotes from the prior year Grow quote and contract volumes (improve conversion rates) Assist with loan submissions; ensure loans are properly submitted for conversion Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers representing FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada in a professional manner. Provide customer service and assistance to both brokers and clients calling in with inquiries Identify and manage existing high priority brokers Manage overall pricing margins and broker profitability Analyze broker profitability to help determine broker’s segment Manage credit risk Provide brokers with training on systems and processes as required Investigate the development of new solutions for clients and cross-selling opportunities Support arrears where there may be possible relationship impacts Support new business development activity Undertake periodic visits to brokers’ offices Other job related duties as assigned 1 FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada Job Description Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Required: Strong organizational and time management skills Accuracy and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude Accountable for results Ability to work as part of a team Strong communication skills both verbal and written Desire for continuous learning Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) Training/ Education/ Experience Qualifications: (Include licenses and certifications) University/college degree is preferred 3-5 years business experience Commercial credit experience and asset Understanding of commercial insurance policies an asset Experience with insurance brokering network an asset Supervisory Responsibilities: Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
