Smartest ever produced Post war economy, tremendous prosperity Healthier, Wealthier, Better educated Have enjoyed economic success, low taxation, full employment Thinking more about themselves and making money. Insane work ethic Most independent, “Latch-Key” Kids Single parent homes skyrocketed, divorce rate tripled Grew up when trends like 24-hour media coverage and tabloid journalism just beginning. Most entitled/least educated ever produced Fastest growing segment of workers today Technology is an extension of who they are Grew up in which media/technology often blurred reality and fantasy. Were encouraged to be empowered to take positive actions when things go wrong. Traditionalists very patriotic, believe in selfsacrifice. Have few jobs during their careers/ feel lucky to have one at all, accept hierarchy as norm. Boomers challenge authority, fight against institutions. Will continue working if still contributing. Gen Xers Straightforward communication preferred. Keen at detecting honesty/trust. Always ready for change, keep their resumes up-to-date. Millennials feel they can make a difference, prefer to be collaborative, are used to being decision-makers, expect the same at work.
