Dear 2nd Grade Parents,
The groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter!!!
We won’t be
hibernating…we’re keeping busy in our classroom. Lots of great learning
is taking place and we’re having a fun time.
The germs certainly aren’t taking a rest either! We have had lots of sick
kids (and teachers too). We have been doing lots of hand washing and
disinfecting in our classroom. We have had lots of sniffles this week.
Hopefully we’ll all be back strong and healthy next week.
How are those valentine boxes coming? I am anxious to see
all of them on the 14th! Please do not bring the boxes and
valentines until then. We will have many things going on in
the classroom and will not have a good place to store them.
Our party will take place the last hour of the day.
As you are making out valentines, it is up to you and
your child if you want to put names on the envelopes
but please be sure that your child signs his/her name
on the valentines so that the recipient will know who
to say “thank you” to.

We have come to the end of a unit in our reading curriculum and it is
time for a week to review the many skills we have introduced since
coming back to school after our Christmas break. This week we will not
have any new spelling words, but will review all of our words from the
unit.
