HERTS CHOICE HOMES – PUBLIC WEBSITE
PASSWORD
Changes have been made to how you log into your Herts Choice Homes housing application and you will
now need a password to log in and bid for properties.
If you are registered with more than one council you will need to use a different email address and
password for each application.
I do not have a password?
If you do not have a password you can get one by clicking “Already registered but don’t have a password?”
when you first log in.
If you have already registered with Herts Choice Homes, you will be asked for your registration number (the
number you usually use to log in) and your date of birth. You will receive instructions on how to create a
password by an email sent to the email address you provided when you initially registered with Herts
Choice Homes.
You can create your password by clicking the ‘click here’ link in the email you will receive. You will be asked
to create a new password.
If you cannot remember the email address you used you can contact the Council you are registered with
who can give you this information.
If you did not provide an email address when you registered, you will be asked to provide one and
instructions will be sent to this address (your email address will be automatically saved and you do not need
to update us).
I do not have an e-mail Address?
If you do not have an email address you can set up an account by clicking on one of the following links on
the website.
gMail - this link will take you to the Google Mail website where you can set-up your own e-mail account
Hotmail - this link will take you to the Microsoft Hotmail website where you can set-up your own e-mail
account
YahooMail - this link will take you to the Yahoo Mail website where you can set-up your own e-mail account
I have forgotten my password
If you have forgotten your password (or would like to change your password) you can do this by clicking
“Forgot your password?”
You will be asked to enter the email address you used when you set up your password. If you cannot
remember the email address you used you can contact the Council you are registered with, however your
Council will not be able to tell you what your password is.
