What you have is What You Need!
About 3500 years ago, in a desert land, a man was asked a simple question by his
master that “What do you have in your hand?” he answered and said “a rod, Sir!” he
was then told that all he needed for what he was sent was the rod. These are few of
the things he was able to do with the rod:
 He turned water to blood,
 He made water to come out from the rock,
 And he made food available for his people etc.
On this principle, I will be teaching you on the topic, "What you have is what you
need".
For you to make it in life, you don’t to have everything, all you need is one thing and
I am telling you categorically today that, that thing you need is with you and in you.
The only problem is that you have not yet discovered it.
Now, listen to this: Every fruit bearing tree carries the seed to produce another
seed to bear fruit – let me explain this: A mango tree produces a mango fruit, that
fruit produced carries the seed to produce another mango tree and the tree will
produce fruit. What I mean is this, every man, woman, boy or girl created by God is
created with a talent/gift that he or she can use to become successful in life.
There are some of you who know how to do some things, but because you lack selfmotivation, you just leave it to die. I have come to let you know that you can make it
in life with the talent that God has given you from heaven.
As you have learnt in the first lecture about Attitude, there are so many things you
have to do yourself and they come from your mind.
The school you are attending may not be able to tell you what you do, but you
should know it yourself that this is what I can do and this is what I want to do.
The major thing you need to do now is to set a goal for yourself and try your
possible best to pursue and to achieve it.
You may ask that:
What is a Goal? – A goal is what you want to achieve in life. It could be short-term,
mid-term or long-term goal. Like now, a secondary or high school student will be
looking for how to pass his exam and be promoted, that is a goal, a person doing
his/her youth service will be looking forward to passing out, getting a job and
getting married, these are goals.
So, it is your goal that you will be looking at and be telling yourself that you can
achieve it.
Let me talk about one principle that will help you, it is called:
Self-Talk – This is the principle of motivating yourself by saying positive things to
yourself, you start it in your mind and you say it out of your mouth – you say it
continuously, so that the whole of your system will get used to it.
For instance, using words like: “I can make it”, “I will not fail” etc. will stir up your
soul to want to continue to move forward in life.
The more you are saying it, the more you will be motivating yourself and whatever
any other person is saying will not matter to you, you will see yourself achieving
what you are created to achieve.
For instance, this article you are reading today is as a result these two principles I
have taught you.
On a final note, you have learnt that: Attitude is the most important thing you need
to achieve success, we have also seen that it is not just attitude, but a positive
attitude, we also learnt about self-motivation, which will help in achieving our goals
and targets in life.
but understand that without Jesus Christ in your life, it will be difficult for you to
fulfil your destiny to the fullest, and ultimately, you cannot gain access to the
Kingdom of God without Jesus, but you have the opportunity to hand over your life
to Him today by confessing your sins and inviting the Holy Spirit into your life, as
you take this glorious step, I declare that your life will never remain the same again,
the seed of God planted in your life for you to succeed will begin to grow and
germinate to fruition! In the precious name of Jesus Christ
