We will continue our Choices
unit which helps students
become more aware of the
choices they make every day.
Every choice has a
consequence, whether it is
positive or negative. By
participating in the wide
variety of activities in this
curriculum, students
evaluate their own choices
and gain a lifelong desire to
learn. It allows students to
organize, categorize, and
reevaluate choices that they
make on a daily basis. These
activities will help students
to grasp the importance,
responsibility, and
implications of their
decisions. The Enduring

We will continue to work with the
Lego materials in our classroom. We
will be tying writing into what we
have already been doing with the
Lego WeDo robotics through the use
of the Lego Education Adventure
stories software.

Students are continuing to use
Scratch to practice coding skills but
are also working with code.org. The
week of December 7th students
across the globe were challenged to
code for one hour. Many sites had
special coding programs available
for this challenge. Code.org had a
Minecraft, Star Wars, Frozen, and
several other special coding
programs that students were able to
utilize and practice with.
Students are continuing to learn
Latin through the Minimus
curriculum. We have been
practicing endings for verbs and
adjectives. In Latin, all nouns
are feminine or masculine and the
adjective must match the noun.
Verb endings change based upon
who is talking and who they are
talking about or to.

new unit-Cryptozoology-A note is
