Innovation as key to leaving no one behind Tuesday, 7 June 2016 13:15 – 14:45 Trusteeship Council Chamber, UNHQ UN Funds and Programmes and Global Pulse in cooperation with the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth and the Mission of Denmark to the United Nations cordially invite you to an event to demonstrate how innovation is key to delivering on the 2030 agenda and leaving no one behind. The event will be held on the margins of the annual session of the executive board of UNDP, UNFPA and UNOPS, the joint meeting of the executive boards of UN Funds and Programmes and the Science, Technology and Innovation Forum (STI Forum). UN Funds and Programmes and Global Pulse will showcase how innovation is key to leaving no one behind by helping to identify and meet community needs, enhance service delivery and quality of service and realise human rights. The event will also consider how innovation can provide financial solutions and better access to data and provide new possibilities for youth. Finally, the event will shed light on how partnerships with other actors, including private sector actors, provide a means for tapping into new technologies, sources of data and financing solutions.
