SAVORING FAMILY AROUND THE HOLIDAYS
Passing down culture or tradition:
During the holidays we often think of what brings us together as
a family. As Thanksgiving draws near, look for ways to teach
your children the values and traditions that you hold dear.

Volunteer together

Make Home-made gifts

Teach the difference between a “want” and a “need”

Dedicate special time together

Start or continue a special holiday tradition (decorate a
tree as a family, sharing memories during a special meal)

Plan for the future: eat together more often, make
healthier choices, limit extracurricular activities, or work
smarter, share your dreams and focus for the New Year!

Cook together

Demonstrate and encourage gratefulness

Look for the good in the things your children do

damage to our physical and mental

protect our children from experiencing
this we must strive to illuminate toxic
stress.

management is important for your
child’s well-being, reassure your child
is safe and you will protect them,
play games with your child the
