“Fall Festival of Trees Contest”
The first annual “Fall Festival of Trees” exhibit and contest will be
held at the 14th annual South Jersey Pumpkin, on October 13-15,
2017. Thousands of visitors to the Pumpkin Show will be delighted
when they arrive to see a collection of Fall and Halloween
beautifully decorated trees. Decorating the tree is one of the best
way to showcase the fall holidays with your family, friends, office
workers or club.
Contest is open to individuals, groups, teams, clubs, schools and
colleges. Trees can be live or artificial and no taller than 7 ft. and at
least 2 ft. high. No charge to enter contest and tree can be brought
out to the Salem County Fairgrounds, 735 Harding Highway,
Woodstown, NJ from Wednesday, October 11 & Thursday, October
12th from 10am to 8pm, and on Friday, October 13th, from 10am to
3pm. Each entry will receive a weekend parking pass. Trees will be
displayed in a locked building and show staffing will watch over the
entries.
Judging criterial will include design, creative use of ribbon, lights,
theme, props, animated objects, storyline, use of lighting and
uniqueness. Be creative, have fun, start searching Pinterest for
amazing ideas. All entries must be family friendly and registration is
done at the fairgrounds office. Be creative, be festive, gather a team
and have fun. Over $900 in prizes awarded to 11 winners.

Rules & Instructions
The 1st annual Pumpkin Show Festival of Trees Contest will be held at the 14th annual South Jersey Pumpkin
Show, Salem County Fairgrounds, 735 Harding Hwy, Woodstown with the following dates;
Entry Check in Period: Wednesday, October 11th and Thursday October 12th from 10am to 8pm.
Friday, October 13th, 10:200am to 3:00pm.
Judging Period
Friday, October 13th, 5pm to 6: 30pm.
Winners Announced Friday, October 13th at 7pm
Tree Lighting
Friday, October 13th at 7:30pm
Prizes Awarded
Sunday, October 15th after 4pm to 8pm. Pickup at main office.
Please read over these rules and instructions and if you have any questions call 856-765-0118. Entry forms are
available on the event’s website www.sjpumpkinshow.com. Be creative, have fun and be festive!
1. Open to anyone that lives in New Jersey.
2. Entry fee is free. Each entry will receive one weekend parking pass.
3. Trees must be from 7 ft. tall to no less than 2 ft. Tree can be live or artificial and have lighting on it or
lights in front of the tree.
4. Trees will be placed inside a covered building and will have security provided during viewing hours.
5. Trees themes are Harvest, Autumn, Thanksgiving and all things Halloween.
6. Trees can be decorated at the fairgrounds and must be completed by no later than Friday, October 13 th
at 3pm.
7. All entries will be on exhibit at the Pumpkin Show from Friday, October 13th to Sunday, October 15th until
4pm. Winners and prizes can be picked up at the main office on Sunday, 4pm to 8pm. Winners do not
need to be present to win. If not present, winners will be notified by telephone.
8. Judging will consist of theme, colors, lighting, ribbons, decorations, style, unique design, overall
presentation and placement of props. Animated objects can be used. All trees must be decorated and
designed by the group, family, club, organization, school or individuals. No store bought decorated tree.
9. Prizes: 11 overall prizes will be awarded. First Place (4) wins gift basket valued at $100, Second Place
(4) wins a gift card $75.00 and Third Place (2) wins gift card for $50. Judges Best of Show (1) wins at gift
basket and trophy valued at $150. There will be honorable mentions and prize ribbons for winners.
10. Participants agree to allow BKE & South Jersey Pumpkin Show to take photos and use on the
Sjpumpkinshow.com website.
11. No dangerous extension cords, trees must be family safe for all ages, no loud music or smoke machines
permitted, no candles or open flames of any kind. Electric or Solar lights can be used.
12. One tree per person, group, club, school, team Etc. Entry form must be completed and a numbered
entry form will be hung on the tree.
13. Make sure all decorations are hot glued or wired securely on your entry.
