Instructions on using the ‘My details’ section of the RCSLT website
Click on the ‘MY DETAILS’ tab at the top of the screen
On the ‘My details’ home page you will see a blue menu on the left-hand side. This
enables you to look at the different screen of information that we hold about you.
The default page is the ‘My personal details’ page, where you can see some of your basic
information, such as your name, email address and telephone number.
You can click on one of the ‘Edit’ links on the right-hand side of the screen, to view and
change some of these details.
Change password
Please click on the ‘Change password option’ on the My Details homepage to set your
password. Your new Password must be at least 6 characters, but not greater than 15
characters long. The password may only contain alphabetic characters and numbers.
Some fields, such as your telephone number and email address are mandatory. You must
complete these sections of the form before you can save any changes.
You cannot change some personal details from here, such as your surname and
membership number, as these are key bits of information that help to identify you
uniquely on our system. If you change your name, please contact the RCSLT
membership team through [email protected]
Please fill in as much information as you can!
THEN PRESS ‘SAVE’!
Click on ‘My addresses’ in the side bar to see the addresses we have for you…
The ‘My addresses’ screen shows the addresses that we have stored for you.
From this screen, you can:
Edit and address, to make sure it is accurate and complete
Delete any old addresses that you no longer use
Change your preferred address.

Your ‘preferred address’ is the address that we will use for mailing purposes. We will, for
example, send copies of Bulletin to your preferred address.
Click on one of these options if you want to make any changes, you will be redirected to
an editable form.
When you have updated your address…
PRESS SAVE!
My interests
Let’s look at the ‘My interests’, screens…
‘My interests’ shows the areas of professional activity that we know you are interested in.
Letting us know about your areas of professional interest will enable you to access
discussion groups in the member zones of the RCSLT website, where you can share
information and ideas with fellow RCSLT members who share your interests.
You can add and delete interests. To add an interest, please click [Add a new interest]
You can add interests by clicking in the tick boxes. You can add as many as you like at
once.
When you have updated your interests…
PRESS SAVE!
SIGS
Click on ‘My SIGs’ in the left-hand menu to see which SIGs we know you are a member
of.
The ‘My SIGs’ screen lists the SIGs you are a member of and the role you have in that
SIG.
Click [Add a new SIG] if you want to record membership of any SIGs you are interested
in that aren’t included in your member record.
.. then select a SIG from the list and indicate what role you undertake for that SIG. If you
don’t have role with that SIG, simply select ‘Member’.
THEN PRESS SAVE!
My publications
Finally, let’s look at ‘My publications’, where you can record with us any books or
articles that you have published
Click on ‘My publications’ in the side bar menu and you will be taken to the ‘My
publications screen’
You can see on the screen the books and articles that we know you have published.
If you would like to add publications to your member record, please press [Add a new
publication]
You do not need to enter a ‘paper title’ if your publication was book.
The system does require you to enter a date.
When you have added a publication…
