Applications for the 2015 MAFE class must be lodged with Glenn Boyle ([email protected])
by no later than 10 December 2014. Late applications will be considered, but may not be able to be
accommodated.
Mid-year entry is possible for the MAFE only in special circumstances. Please contact Glenn Boyle by no
later than 30 June 2015.

MAFE Course Descriptions
FIEC601-January/February
Quantitative Finance and Economics
(Warwick Anderson, Jeremy Clark, Rachel Webb)
This course contains three modules: corporate finance, econometrics, and microeconomics. Students
without Finc 301 or equivalent will generally be required to take the corporate finance module; students
without Econ 213 or equivalent the econometrics module; students without Econ 202 or 203 or equivalent
the microeconomics module.
FIEC675-November 2015-February 2016
Advanced Applications in Finance and Economics
(Huong Dang, Philip Gunby, Bob Reed, Debra Reed)
This course begins in November and continues through until early February. It provides intensive training
in four project-based modules:
 forecasting in economics and finance
 cost-benefit analysis
 portfolio management
 corporate finance decision-making
The emphasis is on hands-on applications, with students undertaking a project in each of these four areas.
