Address: Central Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi, India
Targeted group: All
GPF-India made the video Are people from different religion are different? In which
we asked the people about what is religion to them and do they have friends from
different religion? If they have friends from different religion they why do people
discriminate on the basis of religion? We took this initiative because there is lot of
intolerance is taking place in India. So, it is necessary for people to know that we are
human first rather than a person from different religion and we all are “One Family
under God”.
So, for that we went to the people ask them all the question. With that there was the
simple conclusion that people generally doesn’t discriminate but still these things
happens. So, it was the small initiative to bring the change and breaking the
stereotypes.

forts marks the beginning of the rule of Delhi as the capital of the first of the Muslim rulers in
India. The word Haus comes from urdu word Hauz which means a Pond. The then emperorAlauddin – had commissioned a very large pond in this area for the convenience of the
inhabitants of Siri Fort, the second city of Delhi. It was initially named as Hauz-i-Khas after the
name of the emperor. However, later Firoz Shah Tughlaq ordered to rebuild this tank as royal

Krishan, as well as the pool inside its complex, known as the "Sarovar." It was first built as a
small shrine by Sikh General Sardar Bhagel Singh in 1783, who supervised the construction of
nine Sikh shrines in Delhi in the same year, during the reign of Mughal Emperor, Shah Alam II.
Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is located in the modern city of New Delhi. It consists of 13 architectural
astronomy instruments. The site is one of five built by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur, from 1723
onwards, as he was given by Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah the task of revising the calendar
and astronomical tables. There is a plaque fixed on one of the structures in the Jantar
Mantar observatory in New Delhi that was placed there in 1910 mistakenly dating the construction
of the complex to the year 1710. Later research, though, suggests 1724 as the actual year of
construction.

built by the legendary king Agrasen, and rebuilt in the 14th century by the Agrawal community
which traces its origin to Maharaja Agrasen
Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is a minaret that forms part of the Qutub complex, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in the Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. Its design is thought to have been based on the Minaret
of Jam, in western Afghanistan. Made of red sandstone and marble, Qutub Minar is a 73-metre
(240 feet) tall tapering tower of five storeys, with a 14.3 metre (47 feet) base diameter, reducing

the emperors of the Mughal dynasty for nearly 200 years, until 1857. It is located in the center of
Delhi and houses a number of museums. In addition to accommodating the emperors and their
households, it was the ceremonial and political center of the Mughal state and the setting for events
critically impacting the region
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the
Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan (reigned
1628–1658), to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb is the centrepiece
of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal
gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall.
