The event will be run under The Pony Club Showjumping Rules 2017.
Securely fastened hard hats must be worn at all times by everyone when
mounted. Hats should be tagged and must conform to Pony Club Rules 2017.
All hats to be checked when collecting numbers. Dark blue, black or brown hats
only.
Back protectors (if worn) must meet BETA 2009 Level 3 standard.
Pony Club Dress Rules to apply. NO EARRINGS or other jewellery to be worn
by competitors.
Tack must be in a safe condition.
NO SPURS TO BE WORN BY ANY RIDER
No galloping on the show ground.
No lungeing on the show ground.
A horse or pony may only be ridden once in any class and in no more than 3
classes.
All lead reins must be attached to either the noseband or headcollar.
Any objections should be made in writing, accompanied by a deposit of £10.00.
After due consideration of the objection, the judge’s decision is final.
The Organisers reserve the right to alter any part of the Schedule or to refuse
entries without stating the reasons.
Withdrawals can be made without forfeit up to the close of entries on Saturday
20 May. Withdrawals made after this date will only be refunded with the
presentation of a doctor’s or vet’s certificate (less £5.00 administration fee)
In the event of cancellation prior to the show a £5.00 administration charge will
be made. If the event is cancelled on the day there will be no refund.
Horse and ponies must be over four years old on the day of the competition.

the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or
representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for
any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land,
cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever,
whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way
whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
Health and Safety: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions
to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures
to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent
accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and
stewards.

Objectives
• To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport
connected with horses and riding.
• To give instruction in riding and horsemastership and to educate Members to
look after and to take proper care of their animal.
• To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to
create strength of character and self-discipline.

50,000 members in the UK spread through 345 Branches (approx 33,500

Membership
Membership is open to boys and girls under 25 years of age
Branch Membership
Branch Membership is open to anyone under 21 years of age and existing Members
may continue membership up to the age of 25. Members should have access to a
horse or pony, by ownership or loan, and have the means to transport the horse or
pony to and from rallies and events.
