Dunn Building Company Receives Two
Excellence In Construction Awards
Associated Builders & Contractors Awards of Excellence Program has become the
premiere competition within the construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects across Alabama. Dunn received two awards at the 2015 Excellence in
Construction Awards Banquet held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the Sheraton
Hotel in Birmingham. The New Penske Service Center in Alabaster, Alabama was the
winner in the Commercial-Under $5 Million Category. The Airbus Final Assembly
Line—Logistics Building in Mobile, Alabama was the winner in the Specialty
Contracting—Industrial Less than
$10 Million Category.

NEW PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Dunn Building Company selected as General Contractor for Marx Brothers Expansion
Dunn Building Company has started construction on a 40,000 SF expansion for Marx
Brothers. Marx Brothers is a family-owned company founded in 1919 and based in
Birmingham, Alabama Marx Brothers is a recognized resource for businesses and
organizations in need of information related to coconut production and distribution.
This project features tilt up concrete panels 25’ wide by 40’ tall that weighs approximately 90,000 lbs. Dunn will erect 26 panels in two days.
Dunn’s Project Manager is Robert Holman and Superintendent is Fletcher Parker.

Dunn Welcomes Colin Rutledge
Dunn Building Company, LLC
announces the hiring and return of Robert
Holman as its newest Senior Project Manager/Estimator.
Robert has worked as
the Director of Properties for AAA Cooper
Transportation for the last 16 years. Prior
to that, Robert worked as a Senior Project
Manager for Dunn from 1997-1999 and
brings back to Dunn a unique and
valuable owner’s perspective.
Colin Rutledge joined the Dunn team in our
Mobile office as an Assistant Project Manager/
Estimator.
Colin has a Bachelor of Science in
Construction Engineering from the University of
Southern Mississippi. Colin
has 8 years experience including general contracting
of industrial and commercial
facilities, disaster relief

Robert has a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science
and most recently project
from Auburn University.

Dunn Building Company was fortunate to be a part of
the renovation of Doyle Park located at 1728 Rosedale
Road, Mobile, AL. Along with donations from other
community partners, Dunn donated it’s time and
resources to install athletic field and personal fitness
station equipment.

CONGATULATIONS TEAM DUNN!
Congratulations to the Dunn Building Company Mercedes
Marathon Relay Team. The team completed the race in a little
over four hours and raised over $5,500 for the
Firehouse Shelter.
