FBLA-PBL is the oldest and largest national organization of more than 250,000 members interested in becoming more successful in the business world. In addition to making friends and having fun, membership in FBLA-PBL gives you an opportunity to learn about business and to compete for awards and recognition on the local, state and national levels in more than 40 different event categories including web page design, marketing, business plan, public speaking, job interview, computer application skills, and much more. In making a commitment, this means: • attending leadership conferences: Fall Leadership Conference, Region Leadership Conference • attending FBLA officer meetings and FBLA chapter meetings • participating in FBLA local activities/community service and social activities • being a competitor at Region and/or State • completing a Business Achievement Award – Future, Business, Leader, or America and helping with the FBLA fundraising CODE OF ETHICS I will be honest and sincere. Community Service: sponsor activities such as holiday toy, coat & food drives and walks to benefit non-profit organizations such as the March of Dimes. Fundraising: create projects to raise necessary funds to carry out activities. Publicity: web design, chapter newsletter, school and local newspapers, photos & flyers. Celebration: acknowledge birthdays & accomplishments Competition/Business Achievement Awards: participate in local, state and national contest; make sure all students have their login; check student BAA progress; enter Who’s Who in FBLA-PBL. Events/Activities: monthly professional, social, recreational and fun events Professional Development: plan career day events, guest speakers, panel discussions, schedule and attend field trips and business tours. The purpose of this application is to aid both the applicant and the judges in establishing a fair system of selection and educating the applicant as to his/her expected responsibilities.
