Application to Purchase is invited from persons interested in the purchase of used vehicles in ‘as is,
where is condition’ and in accordance with individual Vehicle specifications.
Vehicle specification documents can be down loaded from Council website
www.exmouth.wa.gov.au
The last date for returning the Application to Purchase is Wednesday 1st March 2017 by 2:00pm to
Shire of Exmouth, 22 Maidstone Crescent, Exmouth WA 6707.

The following general Terms and Conditions of the offer must be taken note of before submission of
bid.
1. Application to Purchase shall be submitted in the prescribed format only, in a sealed
envelope marked “Disposal of Vehicle”, “1GCN 820 – TOYOTA LANDCRUISER The Acting
Chief Executive Officer, 22 Maidstone Crescent, Exmouth WA 6707.
2. Duly completed documents shall be submitted to our office at the address given above on or
before Wednesday 1st March 2017 by 2:00pm. Submissions will be opened on the same day
by 3:00pm in the presence of bidders. Submissions received late will be rejected.
3. It is envisaged that the Shire vehicle will be available for hand over on the acquisition of
replacement vehicle.
4. The Shire vehicle will be continuously used until the successful bidder has been announced
or in accordance with further negotiation.
5. The Shire of Exmouth reserves the right to further negotiate with the highest bidder.
6. The highest bidder is required to pay 10% of the bid/negotiated amount immediately on
opening of the quotations, by way of cash or bank cheque made favourable to the Shire of
Exmouth.
7. The balance of payment as decided after negotiations shall be paid within three (3) days of
making a demand, failing which the Application to Purchase as well as the 10% of the bid
amount paid shall be forfeited.
8. Applications not submitted in the prescribed format, are liable for rejection.
9. The Shire of Exmouth reserves right to cancel the Application to Purchase or reject any or all
quotations received without assigning any reason whatsoever at any stage.
10. The decision of the Shire of Exmouth is final and binding.
11. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder for arranging transfer of ownership of the
vehicle purchased at their cost.
