Picture Day with
Lifetouch!

A flyer providing Lifetouch’s package pricing and order information was sent out
via email on October 15, 2009. If you did not receive this email or were unable to
open the flyer attachment, please contact JoAnn Groce at 407-699-7948 or email at
[email protected].
All packages are individually priced. There is also a $2.00 sitting fee, and this includes
a free student ID. Forms were included in the Lifetouch Flyer and will be available at
site on picture day. The packages should be ordered that day.
The pictures will be back in plenty of time to send out as Christmas presents. All photos
are 100% guaranteed from Lifetouch!
Even if you do not want any pictures, come anyway, so that your child will appear in the
yearbook. 

Yearbook Fundraiser –
Personality Portraits!
Time: 12:00-2:00PM
Location: Playground at FBCSS
(First Baptist Church Sanlando Springs)
These contemporary photos of your student will be fun and distinct school portraits, and
will be taken outside in a relaxed atmosphere. This casual and personalized picture style
can allow students to capture a bit of their own special personality by using special
props that you pick out and bring from home. If your son loves to fish, capture him with
his favorite fishing pole. If your daughter loves soccer, capture her with her soccer ball.
No prop is necessary.
This unique yearbook fundraiser will provide you with many cherished photos.
For $7.00, you will receive a CD that includes at least ten different poses of your child.
The CD is 100% guaranteed and you can make as many prints as you would like.
This fundraiser is not connected with the Lifetouch photographer. Please contact

Sidewalk Sale!

The yearbook committee is having a sidewalk sale! They are selling Chik-fil-A
calendars for $6.00. They are great calendars this year- each of the 12 coupons are for
free food, with no purchase necessary! Plus, they have a funny spoof on classic
literature this year. Very educational! 
The yearbook committee will also be selling yearbooks for the low price of $15.00
(the price goes up to $20.00 in December), GHS T-shirts for $6.00, and Baked Goods
(YUM!) as a way to raise money and keep the price of your yearbook down.

Request for Pictures!
Date: Starting Now!
Time: When You Can!
Please start sending in photos of all types for the yearbook. Do not worry about sending
too many! We like lots of photos. It would be very helpful ff each of the photos can be
renamed with its topic. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, just right click on your
photo and click on “rename”. Provide a description such as "Johnny on vacation to
Florida Keys", "Sally on youth group mission trip to Germany", "Jones family at Grand
Canyon”, "Lucy playing ping pong", "Tanya holding ribbon for cake she made", etc.
Seniors should have all their photos for the yearbook done by the beginning of
December.
Some Types of Photos You Can Send Are:
Family group photo, student participating in community play, or 4-H event, volunteering
somewhere, winning award at AWANA, playing instruments, playing sports, attend
GHS events, field trips, doing science at home, hanging out with GHS friends, going on
a mission trip, family vacation, etc. Pictures from Spring and Summer 2009 are also
welcome. Feel free to send pictures of your babies and toddlers- the whole family is
part of GHS!
We cannot put non-GHS members in the yearbook, so we will crop out non-members.
Please do not send an entire team photo please, or the entire church band, or photos with
anyone outside of GHS, unless you don't mind if it's cropped. Just your kids please!

Fair
Time: 3:00-5:00PM
Location: FBCSS
(First Baptist Church Sanlando Springs)
On the afternoon of the event, November 6, 2009, the Display Area will be open from
2:00 pm to 2:45 pm to set up and register participants. The Fair will begin at 3:00 pm
and close with Awards by 5:00 pm. If you are not participating, but would like to come
and support those who are that would be greatly appreciated! If you have any further

All projects are subject to approval. Projects that don't meet approval will be removed.
Our students always do such a wonderful job displaying their areas of interest at our
Fairs. We look forward to seeing everyone’s work!
Each Participating Family or Student Should Consider:
-Offering a Suitable Project or Craft
-Preparing Display Board
-Wearing a Related Costume or Outfit (If Possible)
-Composing and Presenting a Report that Answers the Questions Listed Below:
Students in grades K-4 should answer questions 1-3.

Orlando Magic Career
Day!
Time: 12:00-4:00 PM
Location: Orlando Magic Arena
Here is an upcoming event, geared for homeschoolers, from the Orlando Magic
team:
Career Day!
We are going to have a fun and interactive career day at the Arena! We are going to
have many different professionals from all aspects of the Magic Organization there to
talk about their jobs and what they do. From Marketing to Broadcasting, the Athletic
Training to Arena Operations, Sales, and more. It will be a fun chance for students to
learn about all the different people it takes to run a professional team and show there
are many different opportunities within the sports world to have a career.
There will also be tours, an essay contest, a poster-making contest, and other fun
activities planned. An educational, yet fun look inside the world of the Magic and
we hope you attend! The tickets will be $20 and that includes your ticket to the game
that evening. Anyone can attend at the same price! If you are interested in attending
