Adding a Rollover In Mediator
In Mediator you can set it up so that when you move your mouse over an image or
text it will change to another image like you would see on a website.
1. Select the 2 images (Or text and Image) you want use. If it is 2 images make
sure they are the same size.
2. Insert the images using the ‘insert’ tab, clicking on ‘picture’ and drawing the
image on to the page.
3. Deselect adjust the frame size.
De select this so that
the picture fits into
the size you drew on
the page and doesn’t
go back to its full size

4. Have both images on the page together remembering to make sure they are
the same size.
5. Insert a Rectangle and again make it the same size as the 2 images. The
Insert rectangle function is next to the picture one.

6. Click on the image you want to appear when you rollover.
7. Set the picture to be not visible by un ticking it.
8. Next Select the Rectangle. Go to the properties and select ‘No Fill’ This will
make it effectively invisible.

9. Then Right click on the rectangle and select Events.
You are also going to
use the ‘show’ and
‘hide’ functions.

to drag the
objects into
here.
10. Drag the objects into the white space as below. You are telling it to show
Picture 2 and hide picture 1 when you move your mouse over it and do the
reverse when you move your mouse off it.

11. Make sure the Rectangle is at the front by right clicking on it and arranging
and selecting ‘Bring to Front.
12. You can then move each object so that they are on top of each other. Then
run the page to test it.
