Micro Scooter Prize Draw
Terms and Conditions
1) The Micro Scooter Prize Draw (“the Prize Draw”) is offered by Countrywide Estate Agents
trading as Hamptons International (“the Promoter”) (registered number 789476 and
registered office at Countrywide House, 88-103 Caldecotte Lake Drive, Caldecotte, Milton
Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK7 8JT).
2) The Prize Draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the
Promoter, their families, agents and any other persons who are in any way connected to the
Prize Draw (“Entrants”). Proof of age and identity may be required.
3) The Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
4) Each customer who books a free market appraisal with the Supplier (and receives
acknowledgement of such booking) between the dates specified in paragraph 6 below will be
automatically entered into the Prize Draw (“the Entry Method”).
5) Only one entry per person is permitted. Entrants may only enter the Prize Draw by the Entry
Method.
6) The opening date for entries is 09:00 hrs (GMT) on Tuesday 18th April 2017. The closing date
of the Prize Draw is 23:59 hrs (GMT) on 21st May 2017. Entries received after this time will
not be considered.
7) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a
technical fault (technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satel lite,
network or server failure) of any kind.
8) The winner(s) will receive a set of Micro Scooters for the family. This includes two adult Micro
Flex scooters and two children’s scooters from the Mini or Maxi or Sprite range (but excludes
adult luggage scooters, adult electric scooters, Pedalflow and Snow scooters) (“the Prize”).
Scooter models are subject to availability.
9) The Prize is supplied by Micro Scooter Ltd (company number 05196465 and registered
address 110 Coast Road, West Mersea, Colchester, CO5 8NA) (the “Supplier”).
10) Five (5) winners will be chosen by random draw supervised by an independent person on
Monday 5 June 2017 (”Draw Date”).
11) The winner(s) will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided at entry) within
three (3) days after the Draw Date and must provide a postal address to claim their Prize. If a
winner does not respond to the Promoter within twenty (20) days of being notified by the
Promoter, then the Prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another
winner in accordance with the process described above.
12) The Prize will be sent to the winner(s) by post within 21 days of being notified of their win.
13) The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
14) The Promoter and Supplier reserve the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of
equal or higher value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so.
15) The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and
no correspondence will be entered into about it.
16) The winners’ name and county can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to
the Marketing Department, United Kingdom House, 180 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1NN
within 21 days after the date of the closing date of the Prize Draw.
17) Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and
conditions upon entry.
18) The Promoter reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any participant found to be
seeking an unfair advantage, abusing or tampering with the operation of the Prize Draw, or to
be acting in any manner deemed by the Promoter to be unlawful and/or in violation of the
terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right at any stage to refuse to award the
Prize or withdraw the Prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe that
there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this
Prize Draw’s Entry Method or otherwise where an Entrant has gained unfair advantage or
used fraudulent means.
19) The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw
without notice where it becomes necessary to do so. For the avoidance of doubt this includes
the right to amend these terms and conditions.
20) Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any
circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for
any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except
where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their
employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
21) Winners may be required to participate in unpaid publicity related to the Prize Draw which
may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media, including Facebook
and Twitter.
22) Personal data supplied during the course of this Promotion may be passed on to third party
suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the Prize. Entrants
who tick the option to opt in to receive communications from the Supplier consent to their
details being passed to the Supplier for the purposes of receiving promotional offers and
information from the Supplier.
23) The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and Entrants submit to the jurisdiction of the
courts of England and Wales.
