Enclosed is a copy of a schedule developed by MassDOT and/or MassDOT’s Contractor showing
the utility relocation scope by your company and others. The durations and dates used in this
schedule are based on the documentation submitted by the utility and within the Agreement
between MassDOT, the Contractor and (Utility) relative to the relocation of facilities by your
company as part of this agreement.
MassDOT is authorized pursuant to current MassDOT utility reimbursement policy to reimburse
a Utility Party Select % of the cost of utility relocation should you meet the utility relocation
deadlines as previously agreed upon and stipulated in your Agreement with MassDOT. You will
be reimbursed in a lump sum payment upon completion of the relocation work. During the
prosecution of your relocation work, you are expected to regularly communicate the status of
your progress to the Resident Engineer. If you fail to complete the relocation work, in
accordance with the dates established within the attached schedule, and in accordance with
the Force Account agreement, no reimbursement will be provided.
This letter serves as your notice to proceed with this work. It is incumbent upon you to contact
the District Responsible Party, (Name) (Phone #) (Email), within 3 days of receipt of this letter.
If the proposed schedule changes, you will be notified in writing of the revised dates, etc.
